Casually losing my mind over how different and wrong Inuyasha and Kagome’s individual take on romantic love actually was at the beginning.

She thought somewhere out there this perfect guy was waiting for her. That once she found him, everything would feel right and uncomplicated. That they would never break each other’s heart. That it all came down to being swept off her feet.

He thought love was supposed to hurt. To break, burn and end. That it always came with an ultimate price. That it had to be painful and dutiful and all consuming. That he had to constantly struggle to keep it.

But then they met.
