Just a quick rundown of what Danny has in his backpack. Intended for both you guys, and myself as a reminder.

•Two notebooks

•One book on astrophysics from a bookstore

•Two changes of clothes

•Swiss army knife

•Thermos (of course)

•Phone charger

•Pajamas

He was headed over to Sam’s for a sleepover (he and Tucker were going to be there for two days), which is why he had the phone charger, pajamas, and change of clothes, but the first aid kit stays in his backpack at all times and the thermos only leaves if he leaves the backpack. The last three items were kinda just left in there from before he left the house because he forgot he had left them in there and slept in through most of the day, so he had rushed to pack and leave.

Then Danny realized how much time he actually had left and decided to head towards an abandoned observatory not too far by switching to ghost form and flying off with plans to come back after fifteen minutes. Soon after he got there, the portal thing happened.

Anyways, I like to think maybe the astrophysics book is a pretty big one, or at least a little bit bigger than average if that makes sense. This is just so Danny’s bag is even heavier, so when someone goes to pick it up, they’re surprised at how much it weighs since Danny’s always carrying it around no problem.

Also because theirs are magic and carry several items without gaining much weight or getting stuffed.

“Ah, yes, my watch is a bit unusual! It’s important for me to have one that works for me, though. I travel between worlds and time zones quite a bit, and… I still need to sleep and eat at regular intervals, hah.”

“Valien and I worked together to design it. It shares features with many other adaptive watches, but it’s tailored to my own specific needs—and we were able to fit much more into it than might be expected of contemporary Earth tech at the same scale.”

“One of my main concerns was discretion—I needed silent alarms, and to be able to check the time without sound. So while it does have speaking functions that I can activate for specific tasks—guided navigation, for example—it also has a tactile clock face and haptic systems.”

“I use the alarm functions quite frequently! An eidetic memory is all well and good, but it doesn’t mean that things come to mind when I need them to, hah. It has several different alarm patterns so that I can tell the difference between, say, a medication reminder as opposed to a calendar alert.”

(OOC: Most of the reviews for the Eone watch that I could find from people who were actually vision impaired and trying to read it said that the little ball bearings were hard to feel, heh.

And I thought that “lines with different lengths” just… didn’t seem like it’d be very differentiated, either? Especially if you’re old and don’t have a lot of feeling in your fingertips?

So! Some modifications. Different dot arrangements for the clock positions, a raised line for the minute hand, and a raised square for the hour hand.

…Plus saying, “to heck with it, this is sci-fi fantasy, it can be both tactile and speaking and also have a GPS and Spire-Siri and shit in it.” Inspired in no small part by my eternal frustration with trying to figure out how to set alarms on watches. xD I decided that Diamond can just use voice control for that, pfff.

This might be a touchy subject for you Az, you can refuse to answer- if you could contact one of your moms for help, what would you ask for? Or do you want to rely on yourself and your friends for this whole situation?

AZAZEL: shouldnt they pick it themselves? like by a collective vote?

JUDAS: ...There’s only one of it, though.

MAGDALENE: Huh?

JUDAS: This is getting off topic. You there, they’re both one heart. Deal or no deal?

[Azazel currently has 1 Red Heart, and several Black and Soul Hearts. Judas has 2 Red Hearts, and 1 Soul Heart. Magdalene will not be participating in the Devil Deal.]
