you think annabeth has ever momentarily forgotten that her invisibility cap turns her invisible? like, imagine her holding eight different things in her arms and she instinctually puts the hat on so she has an easier time carry all of her stuff. and then she just goes about her day, oblivious to the fact that no one can see her. funny as hell.

Thinking of the Hermes cabin making it a running joke to try and steal Annabeth’s invisibility cap. They’re good at it too, given that Hermes is the god of thieves, and they’re near enough impossible to catch once they put it on, given the whole invisibility thing. Annabeth’s siblings never know whether to be offended (as it’s a gift from their mother) or amused by how determined Cabin 11 is to keep it up. They can never hope to last long against the Athena cabin though. One time they worked with the Hephaestus kids to make infrared goggles to track down the thieves (that time, Connor Stoll) until that disappeared too. Cabin 6 always seems to find a way (”Athena always has a plan”) but of course Cabin 11 always seems to find a loophole. They’ve actually become really competitive about who can keep it for longer at this point and while both pretend to get really heated over it they both secretly find it hilarious. No idea how this fits in to canon but hey.

Why didn’t Clarisse steal the invisibility cap from Percy?
These characters have an invisibility cap so why do they sneak around so much without wearing it? I get that Percy complains the hat is itchy, but that’s a trivial matter, Seaweed Brain!
Seriously, Annabeth needs to get some kind of elastic for her Yankees cap so it doesn’t fall off in the middle of a fight.
Why didn’t Annabeth use her invisibility cap sooner?! They were sneaking around an island! Well, I guess they needed the sheep skins to disguise their scent, but still!
