Crazy that Percy was able to talk to Blackjack and it just... did not even register as being weird? Tbf there was a lot of weird stuff going on that day. His girlfriend friend got kidnapped, he talked to a guy in a coffin, he got stabbed and then healed by a blanket made of gold, I guess talking to a pegasus wouldn't phase me either at that point
was gonna. make a post abt annabeth going thru the horrors while percy and tyson going for a swim but lowk they are all going thru it this season. sea of horrors.
YALL IS THAT WILLIAM SOLACE OR AM I SEEING THINGS
Thinking about a TikTok I saw yesterday that just said “Annabeth being hurt brings out the worst in Percy and the best in Luke” and I can’t stop thinking about that scene in season 2 when she’s thrown to the ground by Polyphemus and Percy is trapped in the cave. And then Luke instantly drops all of his focus to her and how she’s injured and is like asking Percy for the fleece to heal her and Percy is going absolutely batshit like “don’t touch her. Don’t touch her! Don’t hurt her!” And looks about ready to physically fight Clarisse just so he can give the fleece to Luke so he can heal Annabeth. Thinking about the hardened resolve, the danger lurking in Percy’s eyes as Clarisse refuses to hand the fleece over in contrast with the unprecedented tenderness Luke picks Annabeth up with. Their love for her truly brings out the extreme in both of them where right now Luke is willing to put aside his evil shit to make sure she’s ok and Percy is willing to throw caution to the wind and put everyone in danger to keep Annabeth from dying.
Like come on LOOK AT THEM. Tell me those are not two boys who have protectiveness traits activated in two very different ways over this girl
Some thoughts now that PJO s2 has finished!
- I enjoyed it overall!
- Tyson was adorable, Daniel Diemer did so well
- Was fun to see more Clarisse, have her expanded on
- Walker and Leah doing more amazing acting
- Interesting to get a bit of a view of what Charlie’s going to bring, he’s got some really challenging stuff coming up next season and it seems like he’s going to be able to deliver!
- Sirens scene was different but fun! Honestly my jaw dropped when I realised Athena was a siren vision!
- Circe’s island done in a different way as well, of course- the focus on working on your inner flaws rather than improving outer appearance. I do enjoy misandrist Circe but I can understand why they didn’t use that
“School, rollercoasters, movies, I tried all the things you told me to. It wasn’t fun, I was bored out of my mind!”
Soooo, this is supposed to be the Annabeth that’s yearning for a peaceful life in the mortal world when all is over? This is supposed to be the Annabeth that wants nothing more than go to college and then finally, finally rest? This is supposed to be the Annabeth that’s looking forward to leaving all the dangers of being a demogod behind and living her own life unafraid?
Okay then Rick. Sure. Whatever.
Given how much the show already massacred PJO I hope they never get to any other Riordanverse series.
Love how Percy's priority was Annabeth, and Clarisse's was the golden fleece, but in the end, Percy ended up going for the fleece, and Clarisse saved Annabeth.
The character dynamics ARE INSANE HOLY SHIT
