-💛 Regressed before knowing what it was. Or knowing what the word for it was or meant. He’s been regressing since being appointed as the golden guard and didn’t really get to experience a childhood so this is how he experiences it

-💛 His age range is 1-8, but spends most of his time in baby space. It also depends who he’s with (caring for him or being his playmate, etc) to see how low he’ll drop into headspace

-💛 3/4 of his regression is involuntary, he is very unsure in his regression. Has a lot of stressed, anxious, vent, trauma, etc regression. Has days were he just regresses and cries because he doesn’t understand why he’s crying or he misses Flapjack, things along those lines

-💛 Found out about regression through Luz, Luz ended up being his first caregiver and playmate/sib. Camila, Darius, and Willow are his favorite caregivers although Eda and Raine have also cared for him

-💛 His connections with his friends are slightly different when regressed. Willow is the absolute favorite of course (platonic or romantic Huntlow), because of how they bonded and how she’s always gentle but firm with him. Luz, Vee, and Gus are his sibbies. Growing up, Hunter always wanted a brother so he loves to do typical boy regressor stuff with Gus. And him and Amity? Oof..either best friends or sworn off enemies that baby battle

-💛 Semi verbal when regressed, he has nonverbal days too. His speech is hesitant or choppier when regressed

-💛 Has such a hard time playing pretend but he tries. Wasn’t really able to until he was introduced to things he likes, like wolves and Cosmic Frontier. Gus being able to make illusions and Luz having toys helped too

-💛 Feels weird having regression gear but he gets attached to it after some time. Still uses his coven cape like a blanket, and collects wolf plushies and pacifiers like nobodies business

-💛 He likes to feel needed. So when he can, he likes to help his caregivers or playmates. Willow gardening? He’ll bring her the watering can or hose. Baby Vee napping? He’ll stand guard to make sure it’s quiet and no one wakes her up. Gus can’t find his toy? He starts a search party. No one able to understand Amity’s nonverbal cues? He usually gets it right and communicates it for her. Luz being Luz? Hunter being Hunter with her

-💛 His behavior can be either described as so well behaved or a child acting out. Sometimes he feels like love needs to be earned so he’ll put his regression on a back burner to try to seem less ‘burden-ish.’ Only makes him regress involuntarily though. He’s an emotional regressor, anger comes out way more easily in his regression which will quickly turn to tears and frantic apologies. When ‘acting out’ it only comes out as confrontational behavior, yelling and being super defensive, he’d never hurt anyone though

-💛 Going from that though, he sometimes acts out on purpose to see what he can get away with. Refusing to go to bed or put away his toys or knocking things off counters or taking toys from his sibbies. It has earned him a few gentle but stern talks from his caregivers which usually make him cry and panic but it all works out

-💛 On god, this boy needs naps and early bedtimes. He refuses them but needs them. Gets cranky when he doesn’t nap

-💛 Not big on touch, but welcomes certain types of touch (sfw). Loves to be held and rocked

-💛 Not big on nicknames or pet names but he has a couple he likes when regressed. Little prince, hunny, cadet Hunter, wolfy, little guard, little helper, and captain comet are his favorite

-💛 Needs reminders, like Luz, that his regression is a good thing. That it’s okay to slip and that it happens, because it’s something he doesn’t like about it himself even though it helps him in the long run

lucy maclean regression headcanons !

a/n : this is soooo self indulgent eehehehe X3 srry i know i made a poll 4 what i should do next but this has been taking over my mind like cray ૮◞ ◟𑁬∘˙˚ also this is my first time writing about involuntary regression so plsplspls lmk if i'm incorrect about anything / if i should remove the term " impure " from the cws !!! 🦌 age regression is totally foreign as a concept to lucy , but it's not exactly new - she's always had a tendency to act a bit younger from time to time

🦌 norm always knew and indulged lucy where he could , playing with some of her childhood dolls when she'd come up to him pouting

🦌 she lost a lot of her childhood toys at shady sands but the vaults always have a surplus of toys on hand for any of the younger kids ( which she toootally takes from occasionally )

🦌 she's nervous to let anyone else know or see her regressed besides norm . everyone has always been super nice but the idea of anyone else figuring out that she's smaller scares her

🦌 she couldn't be more thankful for the fact that she has her own room , as when she's small she likes to build pillow forts and hide away from the rest of the vault

🦌 she'll occasionally let norm in to come say hi and he'll help her expand and fortify her fort with all of his " useless " knowledge

🦌 leaving the vault was incredibly stressful , and she started to notice that she tended to feel much smaller when she was in scary situations

🦌 age regression became an unconscious way for her to cope with all the change that had been happening in her life

🦌 she took a few of her favorite toys n stuffies out with her , buried deep in her backpack , n when she would sit by herself around the fire she made she'd pull her knees up to her chest and hold her favorite stuffie ( a little deer ) chose to her

🦌 even with no one to play with , she'd still have fun imagining drama-filled stories with her dolls , even including elements from her own travels into the plot

🦌 i could write a whole thing abt the ghoul n lucy .... hes so parental to me even though he no longer knows how to take care of a child from years of the wasteland n ends up a little rough around the edges ......

🦌 i think her and maximus are more like silly playmates than a cg and regressor relationship !!!! that man is totally regressing , albeit i think he'd be more of a teen regressor than a kid / baby regressor like lucy

🦌 she's sooo happy that she finally has someone else to play with out here !!! it takes her a while to learn to trust max and vice versa but once they do .... ohhh theyre terminally silly

🦌 you'd probably be the first person to explain what regression actually is after lucy opens up enough to regress around you and she's confused at first but ends up super happy that there's a word to describe how she feels !!!

🦌 you worry about her regression putting her in danger in the wasteland but she's spent so much time out here on her own that she knows how to keep herself safe , even when small

🦌 she regrets not bringing more gear with her when she leaves , but you try your best to look out when you go scavaging , and you find her a few kids books and some more toys which she's ecstatic about

🦌 loooves loves loves it when you read to her !!! it reminds her so much of her mom and it brings her so much joy ( and sometimes lulls her off to sleep )

🦌 lucy is the most playful kiddo in the wasteland X3 she has soooo much energy and will run around or yap to you until she tuckers herself out n comes to you to nap

🦌 she's not a nap person normally but you make her feel safe enough that she'll curl up in your arms n rest

🦌 you make her feel soo safe and don't think less of her for her regression and it in turn leads to her regressing more around you which you never mind ; it means more time with your small girl 🫶
