Meet Iolith Ivorie!
Once an herbalist in their tiny, isolated Chymican village, Io always wanted to see the stars, and as soon as they reached adulthood, they hopped on a pirate ship to do just that.
It didn’t go well. As one of the few lowblood doctors in a laid-back, mostly lowblood village, they’d been pretty well respected. Now, on a mainly mid-to-highblood ship, they were the lowest blood there, and ended up getting saddled with a lot of the duties no one else wanted to do.
They learned a lot during those sweeps.
But now they’re a Fleet mediculler, all shiny and official like! Who cares that they’re the one sent into the middle of firefights and given the dirtiest tasks because they’re rust? They’re used to it at this point. It’s like the heroic stories they used to hear around the campfires, right? The hero gets put in danger, but they always come out okay, and always end up with their red or pitch crush...
Okay, it’s nothing like the stories. But they’re still proud of what they’re doing, even if it is unfair. If nothing else, they’ll always have their pride. No highblood can take that away.
