Yay! The electrician came around & got the power on again by flicking a switch I'd been told never to touch .... It did make me think how much I rely on electricity - in some of the old places I stayed in back in the day, there was no electricity .... we relied on gas bottles for everything. I gave away my old petrogas cooker last year. Then nowadays there are all the electronic devices that need to be charged, as well as TVs, fridges & other kitchen gadgets, not to mention heating. Life has indeed become more complicated than it used to be & it's disorientating when you can no longer use everyday items that you take for granted. While waiting for the electrician, I got my composter working & plan to do some gardening work in the next few days. There are loads of things I could be doing instead of sitting around bemoaning the cold. Will take a little stroll round the village before coming home to my soup #Feb2017 #lambisstory #mylifeonios #iosisland2017 #iosvillage #winterinios2017 (at Ios Greece Island)
