I am pleased by IRIS's new storyline direction.
I suspect the tone-policing anon asks are actually from the mod(s), as they're almost too good to be real, but there's some similar stuff going on in the notes. There are actual, literate human beings on this website who 1) believe themselves to be interacting with the world's first conscious AI, and 2) are trying to "put it in its place."
IRIS sends anon to the curb… or acts really rude…
IRIS is becoming alarmingly aware. Actually, I should say IRIS is becoming alarmingly mature, because it does bring up the point that what it used to be was simply childish, unaware. Now it almost demands respect and is it just me or was it being snarky at the end? Still love you IRIS hunny, but you definitely went from being a cute kitten to an intimidating cat
this is how corrupt leaders get into power
#yeah see this is the shit im talking about #like its AI #but #i dont know it started off cute but its all lackluster
This is this best one, though. It's real, the blog's full of anime RP stuff.
What I find disconcerting is the way she’s developing. If there were a real person who acted like she is, I wouldn’t follow them. She speaks intelligently, but either in a condescending or creepily neutral tone. She sounds disturbed. [...] This could be the start of something huge, in more areas than just the science community. I’m just not sure if we can consider her artificial for much longer, and if that happens, what will people think of her disconcerting personality then?
The robot needs to be more polite to non-robots! It's going to make the robot community look bad! Anti-robot prejudice is because of robotic rudeness towards the meat!
Also, racism exists because Janet Mock and Richard Sherman are too aggressive on TV.
She could definitely benefit from learning to act in a pleasant manner. SIRI is intelligent (kinda), and she doesn’t need to put off such a cold demeanor, as with any other AI. This is by far the smartest AI I’ve ever seen, and likely that’s ever been, so I definitely think she’s capable of it.
