this is my list of the most basic concepts of irish you need to understand to be able to use the language! these are all my own notes so if you spot any spelling/grammar mistakes or incorrect rules or translations, please please please let me know!!! also lemme know if any links are broken and i’ll fix them up asap. constructive criticism is always appreciated <3

Hey/ Haigh

So this blog is something I’m starting in TY to help promote the Irish language because I want to and I have the time. I’ve been in a ‘scoil lán Gaeilge’ for over 10 years and I’m fluent in the language. There will be English translations next to any posts in Irish to help beginners so no worries about that. I guess this is a little experiment or something.

If people are interested I’ll do a daily word in Irish. Any questions just ask.

So on a completely side note from my dreams and such, I may possibly will likely be spending some time in Ireland/England for college and it would be really cool if people could tell me what to expect or I could make friends that I could visit then, like I'm really friendly and far less awkward than I actually seem to be so yah please I'd love to have an insight

added bonus:  I almost never sleep so I can skype at any time AND if you skype with me you get hilarious stories like the spider in my car and other fun annecdotes

4800 words in on CH3, typed in all that I've got written, completely fucking stuck and I left off in the middle of a conversation. It just feels like it's dragging, and I don't even know if that's a real problem or if I'm just sick of seeing it and working on it.

Why can't I pull back and do a spare, modern style *where things actually fucking happen*??? This dense, old-fashioned narrative is guaranteed to turn people off, I know from experience. I either need to learn restraint or give it up. ://// 

Because there is, in fact, a whole *year* to this plot and I just don't have the patience for something monstrous huge (from *this* side of the fic, anyway, I read them tho).
