Whenever I read hc s about how Peter calls Pepper ‘Mom’ and refuses to call Tony ‘Dad’ as a joke and also because Peter thinks he doesn't deserve to or Tony doesn't want it.… All I can think about is Tony hearing it and automatically thinking the worst like Of course he doesn't call me Dad, I'm not worthy of being anyone’s dad let alone Peter’s of course and being sad and I just want to cry

I just realized that with his Spidey Senses, Peter probably knew Tony was absolutely about to die- that's why he wanted to be the first to talk to him, because he knew it would be their last moments together.

He probably knew, before he even snapped his fingers, what was happening.

He probably heard his heart slow and finally stop.

All this, everything that he had no control over, but the vast, unwelcome knowledge of. It will haunt him.

In regards to Captain America and a tweet Chris Evans put out about how emotional he got filming Endgame the Russos say:

“I think it was more emotional for him than it was us because he’s not done yet. I won’t explain what that means but fans will soon understand what I’m talking about.”

But when questioned in another interview about Tony Stark’s character and the future of Ironman we get:

“Tony’s dead, you know?" Russo explained. "That’s it for Robert. He’s done."

Is such a shift in tone supposed to edge me on into the “acceptance” stage from denial? Can’t they leave a door of hope cracked a bit. Sheesh. 🙄

they get peter back before they get tony back. so when peter comes back, disoriented and confused, and the only thing he keeps asking is"wheres mr. stark? wheres mr. stark?"it gets more and more frantic because peter doesn't really remember much, but for the entire time he was in the soul stone he just kept thinking 'mr. stark will come get me, mr. stark would never let anything hurt me' no one has the heart to tell him that he's in space, alone, and possibly never coming back
