Official MUSIC VIDEO for "Destroyer": 💔
directed by Irrum
Australian singer songwriter and musician RY X has reigned over our hearts ever since we stumbled upon his melancholic stirring single Berlin over four years ago, and we’ve fervidly taken in whatever he’s released since, whether as RY X or as a part of the collective The Acid. I’m still rather crestfallen that I had to miss RY X when he toured to San Francisco recently. By all accounts, it was a magically intimate show. But I’m much elated that he’s released a stunning new video for a gorgeously haunting new song named Bad Love. It’s the first single he’s released since he dropped debut album Dawn in spring of 2016. Bad Love is a chiffon gliding, morose drifting ballad. Its anguish and poignancy are incredibly tangible, and its atmospheric constitution is unimaginably moving. RY X co-directed the video for Bad Love with Irrum, and it’s quite the wondrous visual accompaniment, set in a lush jungle. Ry, who’s now based out of LA, will play a string of European live shows this spring, many of them alongside each respective cities’ premier orchestras. Find out more on RY X’s website, here.
