I really hate when that thing happens when you ask for something for a birthday or Christmas or Hanukkah or something and you really want this one specific version of it really bad and you make sure you tell your parents and stuff very specifically and then they end up getting you the thing but like a different version of it because then you open it and like you're still really happy that you got it but it's just not the right one and you really love this one but you can't help but feel this wave of disappointment when you first open it because that's the moment you know there is a 0% chance that you will ever get the one that you really really wanted but you still have to act super excited because if you don't it's rude as shit but then they're like "Open it! let's see what it looks like!" so then you can't even go back to the store and get the right one and then you're just forever stuck with this one gift that you kind of don't even really like because every time you look at it all you think of is how close you got to getting that one perfect thing and how you still fucked it up somehow and god this stresses me out way too much
