people really say that zutara is a self insert ship and that it’s a good girl/bad boy ship.......

like.....no? just no. if people wanted to self insert themselves with zuko, they would just read those reader x zuko fics and not bother with zutara? right?

like zuko, when you take away all the anger, is so socially awkward and not at all a bad boy? he’s an awkward turtleduck, everyone knows this!!! it’s a popular tag on ao3!!! and katara is absolutely feral for justice, and is willing to commit eco terrorism for the good of people—which is, you know, not something a typical ‘good girl’ would do!!!

katara is a strong, stubborn, kind, compassionate character—i could not personally self insert myself as katara in a zutara fic. i just could not do that. (even though we do share some traits.)

i love them as a couple—them. zuko and katara. katara and zuko. not zuko and me. if zuko x reader stuff is for you, though, great. it’s just not my cup of tea lol.

i’m sure there’s other people who could explain all of this way better but this is just what i think.

The day of an 8 hour long electronic music festival that can be heard clearly several suburbs over (as far as three suburbs!
