15. What was your life like before [ending up in the system]?
“It wasn’t perfect. It was really far from it. I was generally happy, I was trying to save money for school while also trying to help make sure my family had everything they needed. It was always hard, and there’s this... there’s this fear, that kind of lingers, when you’re my age and in a similar kind of um, economic position. We all just kind of try to keep our heads down and get by. It was stressful, and tense, but I was happy, for the most part.”
39. What is wrong with you?

54. If you could say anything you wanted to [let's say Parker] without any consequences whatsoever, what would you say?
“I think I’d like to tell him ‘no.’ That I don’t want him to touch me, that I never wanted him to touch me. I mean, I think he knows that already, but I’d like for him to hear it. Just so there’s no doubt in his mind, what he is.”
64. Are you afraid of intimacy?
“To a certain extent. I don’t think I’m really afraid of the physical acts associated with intimacy, but emotional intimacy terrifies me. Getting on that level with someone again, I can’t even wrap my head around that ever happening. Physical intimacy, though– I’m afraid of the unknowns surrounding physical intimacy with people, but the longer I’ve been in the system and the more contracts I’ve been under, the better equipped I am to swallow the fear back.”
70. Do you think that you deserve this?
“I don’t think anyone deserves this. Anyone.”
