I'm not sure if this is referencing an anime or manga I'm too uncultured to recognise, but I got no idea what this image was meant to signify? Unless it's a more realistic style to contrast the chibi-style virtual world? But like... that feels like a stretch even to me.
Also I love that the computer looks like an original X-Box. That's definitely just a coincidence. But every time I enter the computer room I get flashbacks to playing Halo with my sister as a kid.
