Yiiisss! That’s Isaac Knox. Named before my Teen Wolf days (back in High School in fact) and therefore not a stolen name– just really love the name Isaac. Though I may have stolen it from Dead Space. Memory there is fuzzy. For how long his been around, he’s kind of the most underdeveloped because he keeps changing. He’s sort of the villain in the first book except I don’t know yet if I want to make him an actual asshole that gets redeemed or if I want him to be entirely manipulated by another villainous force (not just influenced, like straight up controlled.) I just haven’t decided yet.But anyway, he starts out with a nasty shadow power caused by something of a parasite inside him in addition to his actual power which is wind/air control. An air elemental, specifically. air and water elementals are the antithesis (the term used for weakness or nemesis in this universe, Illeia) of fire elementals, which is what Nico (MC. #1) is, so he’s among her natural enemies– but like all good stories about natural enemies, they end up allies in the end. Fire is also an antithesis to shadow so their powers totally clash at first. He loses the shadow after the first book, though. He’s kind of stoic, business-y, but he has his quirky moments. He can also get really nasty really fast but he’s good at working things in his favor and doesn’t cause unnecessary damage. At the start of the story he’s pretending to be an ally and trying hide the fact that he’s causing the chaos while sticking close to Nico to keep her from discovering too much– mostly he tries to influence her to leave Earth to its doom and return “home” to Illeia, where she was born. When I first created him he had some sneaky Yagami Light-esque shit going on.
He’s afraid of dogs and really likes cats and I low-key ship him with #2. I haven’t worked out a lot on his personality when he’s an ally but depending on whether he was being influenced or entirely controlled, that’ll change. Probably bi, asexual, and 20 years old when introduced.
Carter Deems vs. Isaac Knox: So entertaining
