I love early seasons secret relationship Colinisaac

"Don't go" Isaac says, the whispered words nearly lost to the slim space between them.

Colin stills. "I have to."

"I don't want you to."

The words are a childish whine, but they're true.

An exhale that Isaac feels, Colin's back pressed as it is against Isaac's chest. He wants to sling an arm around Colin to keep him from sitting up and moving to the edge of the bed.

Stupid movie night had cut into the brief moments that they allowed themselves to do something like cuddle, before one had to slink back to their own room.

When Colin tries to stand, to retrieve the clothes Isaac had stripped him of and tossed god knows where in his haste not that long ago, Isaac reaches out. Curls a hand around Colin's wrist. "Please. Just for a night."

"It's too risky."

It's a conversation they've had before. An argument, in Colin's words.

"Lasso isn't doing bed checks." Isaac points out. It wasn't like their former prick manager had been either, but everything about Cartrick had made whatever this was between them seem that much more forbidden. But with Lasso...

It wasn't like Isaac was going to be in the next pride parade. This was still the Premier League. He hadn't even told his family he was bi, and especially not that the revelation had been inspired by his best mate. But something about Lasso made Isaac feel like this didn't have to be just dark, away game hotel shags.

Maybe the bloody romcoms had gotten to him, but Isaac knew that he and Colin belonged together. Even if they couldn't have candle lit anniversary nights on the town or commit acts bordering on public indecency in the clubs like some of their teammates (Richard) they should still be able to have this.

Colin relaxes, ever so slightly. "Just tonight. And only because none of the others are on this floor."

He crawls back into Isaac's embrace, where he fits like the puzzle piece Isaac had gone his whole life without realizing was empty.
