Ruby sat up properly as she saw, for all intense and purposes, her predecessor. At least, he was before she became this... or even moreso now. She couldn’t tell. The infusion chamber that she had been turned into this in was designed based off the work of the machine that turned him into the super soldier that he was today. She had been stuck in this box for a day now since SHIELD passed her off. Apparently, they were the only ones that could contain the gravitonium when it was housed in a human host. Which means that she was literally in the lion’s den until they decided she could go home... which she figured would be no time soon. She just hoped they did what SHIELD wouldn’t and contacted her mother, let her know she was alive. Otherwise, there was an intergalactic war coming this way.
“Captain America himself. Your name holds some weight, even in Hydra. In a way, you’re kind of like... my father or something. How about that?” Could she be mocking him? A little bit. But it was, in many ways, telling him what he was working with. And a warning to keep in mind that she was a product of a life she had been born into, that she hadn’t chosen this.

They had stuck Anya in this cell on their ship as soon as they collected her. At least they had followed through with that bit of their deal. She had contacted the Avengers, promising the location of a top-secret Hydra base, and their defeat practically on a silver platter. All she had wanted in return was safe passage out of Russia. And now, she was their prisoner. She had not attempted to fight them at all, in fact, she had been very civil in this. But her patience was waning. And she had never been very good with her patience. Perhaps it was a side effect of having been born into royalty... even if she spent more time in a Hydra base then as a princess, at this point.
She looked up to Captain America himself as he stepped into the room, her arms folded firmly at her chest. “You know... when I think of the term ‘safe passage’, I don’t think of imprisonment. Who’s idea was this? Yours? Stark’s? Or perhaps Your newest recruit doesn’t like the idea of another ex-Hydra being on board?”
Honestly, she figured this current situation she was in was because of the fact that they didn’t know who she was. There were no records on her under the name of Anya, after all. And her true identity, which she had only recently remembered, was supposed to be dead, according to all news and history books. Even if she did tell him, they wouldn’t believe her.
“As I told Stark when he did this, all the information I have on Hydra is largely about the base I was in. I have very limited knowledge about things outside of it. But, if you want answers, about Hydra... or me, I want a bit more freedom.” And that wasn’t even her attempt to demand a lot. She had spent most of her life stuck in rooms this small or smaller. She didn’t like being in enclosed spaces. She needed space to roam, to explore, to feel like a normal human being... although she knew she had never been that.

“I’m not an art history textbook, Rogers, go to a museum. But yes, the soup can guy, and his art definitely looks like he was on drugs. Probably acid.”

“I’ve already lost people I thought were friends to his cause, so any help I get is a surprise. However, you’ve got quite a point there.”
wanda grew silent at that admission, knowing he was right. the avengers were finally becoming a team again and yet people she thought she had been growing close to wouldn’t even talk to her anymore. “ never doubt that with me, steve. “

Steve wasn’t entirely sure if the smile was meant for him or not, so he just nodded at first. “I just wish they would use their heads some more.”
“ you would have a better chance getting through to them then i would... “ she muttered. it wasn’t like the male race was known for listening to the females.
