When the world starts going nuts with hatred and I hear draconian policies and rhetoric that I truly cannot believe are being bandied about as reasonable in these United States of America in the year 2015, I think I get so freaked out that I almost revert to childhood. That can be the only explanation for the very childlike thing I started doing a few weeks ago. I literally got out some blank note cards and Googled the address of every mosque in my area, and I wrote these little notes like the one in the photo. It's this little kid sentiment of "I like you. Let's be friends".
That's how I feel, that there are all these malevolent forces working against the Muslim faith and the Muslim community and I can't do much more than say, "I don't hate you, I don't fear you, I love you, and I wanted you to know that." I almost didn't send my notes because I felt so lame, I'm a grown ass woman, and who the hell am I anyway, and what difference does it make? Well it may not make a lot of difference, but I, like a little kid, just went ahead and did it anyway.
I don't hate you, I don't fear you, I love you, and I wanted you to know that.
Then I got back the letter pictured in the second photo. It made me tear up.
So I thought, why stop with mosques in my own city? I'm just gonna keep going. Writing my little kid notes, and volunteering with the charities I joined up with as a direct result of the hate overload in the world.
For each act of vandalism, each word of hate, each speech promoting discrimination and exclusion, it mobilizes so many people like me to react in love. And the love always wins out. So hate-mongers, just, like, stop. You're wasting your time. The love always wins.

I am seeing too many posts being shared from the EDL and Britain First by friends of mine on other social media platform and it is horrific! I am also seeing the rise of people I know in the army being extremely anti Muslim. I want to be a soldier and you'd think with the fact innocent blood has been shed I'd want to burn Islam to the ground. But no I don't, I want to embrace Muslims with open arms as religion does not categorise us, Muslims are not all terrorists, Christians aren't all KKK members and Jews aren't always rich! I believe that all the 'Islamic' Terrorist groups all put together make like 0.003% of the 1.6 BILLION members of Islam. Yet we always brand the rest of the 1.6 BILLION as terrorists! I stand with Islam, I stand with Paris and I stand by anyone who is effected by the horrific acts of terrorism!
