I knew I was going to make a song to honor my mother-in-law’s memory, but didn’t really have an idea what it was going to sound like until a year after her death.  I just knew it wasn’t going to be somber at all.  Something to make her dance.  

Once Sean Price died out of no where, and I found myself listening to his material for a while.  My fave being “Figure Four”, I found that “Figure More” remix and dug up the sample from some rock albums that I downloaded YEARS ago.  At first I thought to recreate “Figure More” (because i’ve been in such a funk for while, I recreate loops just to keep in practice).  I took more of the loop than usual, and I promise it sounded like a song I made in a dream.  And then I just ran with the rest.   Note:  I’ve got songs on the soundclick page that as many plays as “Julianna”, except they’ve been on the page for years vs. the 22 days “Julianna” has been uploaded.  Thank you all very much for the plays, reposts, and anything else that would have garnered it more spins.
