People really like to ignore the fact that the thing that makes disorders DISORDERS is that they have symptoms which are not always conducive to being a nice and functional person. Either those traits don't exist or they make the people with them outliers at best absolute monsters at worst.

#ableism #yeah most children having a meltdown are gonna not make sense and maybe even break things and hit people! and you know what? that's part of #it!#rambleposting #okay this is gonna be a personal ramble that may or may not help my case here but like it is what it is #side note my mom used to get soooooo mad when i expressed the slightest hint of dissatisfaction because she would feel likei was blaming her #to bring this back to the point tho you wanna know a secret? sometimes? i WAS.#because when you're an ND child in distress you sometimes lash out #and you wanna know another secret? my mom is hypersensitive to criticism because she ALSO has disorders #and it was not a pleasant situation! and neither of us were evil!#and my dad could not understand that i thought differently than he did. so he assumed every action i took that wasn't what he expected was #done specifically to spite him. because he ALSO has disorders.#and i lashed out at him the most! because of my disorders! and that wasn't okay but we weren't evil! and it WAS because of undiagnosed #disorders!!!!!!#it's just reality and we have to learn to live with it #it's so easy to take 'we're not evil we're just like this' and run with it to exhonorate every bad thing that we've done OR to just complete #ly remove it from the context and say 'oh no the disorders had nothing to do with that because disorders can't cause us to act BAD!! that pe #rson was just a bad egg! an outlier!' (like symptoms DON'T vary heavily from person to person anyways) but it's just not reality!!!#sometimes! disorders! can make people act disorderly!!! and that's something those people have to learn to work around in their lives!!!
