realistic: berdly knows how to bake for some reason and i want to know why. who taught him this. was it actually him or did the swatchlings help. do the swatchlings like berdly. they're both birds. i know tasque manager didn't like him because she stuffed his statue down a toilet but i want to know how swatch and gang feels about this kid what if they ALSO teach him how to dab just like they taught ralsei i feel like he'd turn his beak up at it and later on eagerly show noelle or something

heart-crushing and awful: it's not so much heart-crushing as... queen's relationship with berdly is so complicated actually?? and fuck it hurts to think about?? they don't know how to talk to each other and queen mindcontrolled him and then said he would be the only one to be mindcontrolled?? and then he attempts to open a dark fountain and then queen laughs with him and noelle and it's such a nice moment and she still doesn't remember his name and then- and then........ man!!!!! she lied to him about being a gamer!!!!!!!!!!! in all seriousness i've been trying to figure out how queen talking to both noelle and berdly after they learn she's real would go and it's been so hard there's so much Stuff there but it could also be really Funny but also also first they have to work through the Stuff. my point is queen in an effort to reconcile with him asks if he wants to play some video games with her and lancer. berdly invites noelle, and then susie because noelle suggested it, and then kris because susie and him both thought it would be nice. there is chaos

AHA i think berdly and noelle are friends, even if it's... complicated. there's a lot of evidence to support that in canon, and he's so genuinely sad when he realizes he let noelle get captured, and noelle chokes him out, and they study together, and noelle knows where he works after school, and one time when they were at noelle's house noelle impulsively decided to steal something from her mom's closet with him because her mom wouldn't let her go to the sadie hawk high school dance, and both of them put on banger dresses and did the rest of their homework wearing them and giggling. berdly wearing a skirt in the dark world is important also

Fum fact, the Estellian's ability to transform into beasts for their super forms is actually based on an older Sega game title called Altered Beast.
