I Will Always Choose You (Draco x Reader) Part 3-The Weekend Date

The next day for part 2 of the date you go to the beach

When you get there, he's staring at the beach and before he can say a word, you’re pulling him by the hand in the sand and into the water

His shirt and his trousers are wet but you just shut him up by splashing some water on him before he can protest and he gets that Slytherin glint in his eyes

You’re immediately running away from him because you know that look, you've been to a beach before

So he's chasing you and you're in the sand now

“Let's make sand castles,” you say, and he's just the best sort of clueless

You two buy those cheap kid shovels and sand castles and you make sandcastles

Draco, it turns out, is extremely competitive and you end up getting into an argument, not even knowing what you’re arguing about

When you’re going back home, he drives because of course he knows how to

You're both tired and heading to your own homes and he tells you how much he enjoyed this weekend date with you

He parks the car at your place and you thank him for driving and paying for some stuff even though you had it covered

He says he insisted on paying this time around, and it only made sense for it to be his turn to drive now

In fact, he should be thanking you for the amazingly planned two-day trip

He learned so many new things, had more fun than he thought was possible, and he really did enjoy the trip

You’re both smiling really widely as he passes you the keys to your car and you say that you’re glad he enjoyed it so much because you loved spending time with him too

While you’re talking and telling each other about how much you enjoyed the date, you suddenly feel like you need to do something important to signify the end of the second date

Not cut him off but just something significant at the end of your weekend date, so you hug him

It’s meant to be a quick hug but Draco freezes and you worry you’ve gone too far and quickly start to step back

But you feel his hands on the sides of your waist and you freeze this time as he slowly wraps his arms around your waist and breathes gently into your ear

“Thank you”

And you relax, melting into his touch, and you’re still hugging him as you say, “That, that right there was my childhood

If I had to choose any three locations to describe it, that would be it”

As you both pull away from each other, you wonder how this could possibly feel more intimate than the cheek kiss and how Draco could make you feel this way

It was worse now, and all because of a hug

A hug

And as you both go your separate ways, his parting words to you are “Next time, next time I will show you my childhood”
