bsd confirms and then affirms that even when atsushi has no conscious control over byakko, byakko doesn't attack people unless atsushi is in mortal danger; and even then, is discerning (such as by attacking gab instead of akutagawa in 55 minutes). however, when byakko first meets dazai in the warehouse, it attacks him on sight. this is because byakko is wise.

Hooke was also busy in May and June 1679 supervising building work in Bloomsbury and the Strand for Montagu and Hervey, collaborating with Tompion in making a watch with a second hand for Wren, and looking after a raccoon. The raccoon’s experimental purpose remains unknown, because on 10 May, having bitten Hooke on the finger, it had the good sense to escape from Gresham College.
