Henrik Hanssen AU Headcanons.
Just a few cute and fluffy headcanons to save us from the misery which was the last episode. This takes place in my AU where he and Roxanna are happily married and have two kids, a son called Maximillian (Max) and a daughter called Louisa.
• He is a polyglot and so is his daughter. When she was little, he used switch the language every couple of sentences to make sure that she was paying attention. This was done much to the annoyance of his son who could just about grasp the concept of Swedish.
• Both him and the boy have an on going chess game and no one is allowed to touch the chess board which is on the sideboard.
• There was that one time where Henrik got so drunk and sang Don McLean's 'American Pie' at Albie's Karaoke Night, much to the amusement of his wife (who had to take him home with the help of Sacha as he was out stone cold by the end of it).
• His kids sometimes break into Mmmbop, just to annoy him. Louisa once changed his ringtone to it before she left for school and he had to go two months before she could change it back again.
• The only time that Henrik would admit to crying in public was the day his son won the Junior Doctors' Prize. He'd helped so many young doctors win the award but to finally see his son win it reduced him to tears of happiness.
• Henrik's kids and Emma Naylor are wrapped around his little finger. He would do anything for them and spoils them rotten on occasion.
• His fear of tomatoes stems from a boarding school prank (he was drenched from head to toe in chopped tomatoes in the middle of winter)
• Henrik finally gave up smoking when he started properly dating Roxanna. She claimed that it was like inhaling an ashtray everytime the kissed and told him that he had a month to give it up.
• Henrik is amazing when it comes to painting fingernails and toenails.
• When both of his kids turned 17, he took them to Sweden (the lake house) by themselves and explained everything that happened with his parents. They both understood and loved him even more for telling them.
• Henrik is an extremely fast learner - he picked up knitting in a matter of hours after his wife gave up knitting the scarves that were for him and his son.
• There was that one time Roxanna wore his black trench coat and he swears that he can still smell the perfume on it, hence why he wears it all the time.
• Henrik found a quaint little deli back at uni and he and the gang would go out every Saturday for lunch.
• Henrik had an old Chevy in the states which he managed to buy for $600. He and the gang drove all the way down the east coast one summer and spent a lot of time in Florida and New Orleans.
• Henrik hates seeing his children ill. He once spent two whole days at work to avoid seeing Louisa with the chicken pox as he knew that there was nothing he could do for her.
• When the kids first came to visit Henrik at Holby, Max (who looked like a mini version of Henrik) sat at his desk and frightened several members of staff, including Elliot Hope and Connie Beauchamp.
• Henrik Hanssen loves taking his wife on beach holidays. His favourite one has to be when they went to Marseille with the kids.
• Henrik is also very adept with a fire extinguisher due to the amount of times that Roxanna has nearly set fire to the kitchen when cooking.
• Henrik spends too much time holding Roxanna's hands.
• Henrik has to eat his Surströmming in the shed because the smell once knocked Roxanna out cold.
