LazyTown headcanon time! Sportacus' crystal evolves and changes with time, matching how Sportacus thinks of the people around him and what he considers trouble for them. Like at first it's just physical danger which sets it off, but as he gets to know everyone and know what is that causes distress, the crystal gets more and more sensitive. This is why he comes to the rescue of things like kittens and bees, because he's a Sportasoft, and why the crystal later goes off when Stingy is having anxiety in the middle of the night over giving presents to Ziggy. I just see this escalating to the point where the crystal goes off at ANYTHING that might cause distress in his friends, because Sport can't stand to see his friends upset. Eventually it goes off every time Robbie has a bad case of insomnia and Sport, knowing what it is after a few times, comes prepared with a super fluffy blanket and a story book.
