Death giving immortality to Hob and having Dream meet him once every 100 years was sort of an equivalent of a person giving their sibling a dog so they would go out of their house. It's like "here, a buddy with whom you have to go out regularly. His mouth does not close and he smells sometimes but dude you need to touch grass once in a while". And Dream reluctantly took it but after a short time (for him) he ended up going out of his way to get his friend treats. (The treats being an extinct wine he took from somebody else's dream.)

Not final design, no one actually has a final design so just enjoy the concepts "x), tho they're not very different from the ogs, I like to keep them close to the originals.

I copied the tail thing from someone else's design, dunno who, shoutout to them, I like it, tho I would like Smile to be able to wag like a normal dog, that's why I made a version with a normal tail, I thought he could maybe be able to put together his three tails and work as just 1, 'cause I like the idea of him just wagging at everybody.

Ok about him in my au, Smiles works as an intermediate for Zalgo to speak to the creepys, tho he only does it when making deals, he hasn't done it any other time, at least by now, out of that, Smiles is just a normal dog, ugly, but normal. I kinda imagine him acting like Scooby in determinated situations and makes me chuckle.

This entire sequence is why I've been thinking Will might actually enjoy letting go of all the control and put himself in Hannibal's hands, whether with violence or tenderness. After some good struggle that both enjoy, that is.
