Alternate ending to the Malta showdown from the novel. It is...extensive. It also lines up with the storyboards shared by some of the crew, so this is clearly what it was supposed to be initially. Then some things got edited for time, some got censored, and some just...changed.

I think overall we wound up with an improvement, but one certain part should have stayed....but that one line is missing from this, as is the tone of that moment. Still, I'll let you decide for yourself.

i'd like to note that unless you have industry scientist levels of money, all home chemistry is ridiculously macgyvered. your apparatus sucks ass and that's okay. just don't buy a 25L barrel of sulfuric acid off a bulk chemical supply store and then forget about it in your closet until you have to move like one guy i know.

Honestly I'd settle for even a tweet from Dan saying he doesn't wanna do YouTube anymore, I get he may not want to commit to saying "I quit" because that sounds so permanent but stating that he has no plans to make videos in the near future would be enough

i think....we will get something that will be related or connected to youtube but not the youtube content we are familiar with and that's why he doesn't wanna say that he's quitting. youtube is a platform that can be used for a lot of stuff and Dan already has a channel with a large audience, so completely quitting it wouldn't be wise. i think we should wait but not hope for anything specific. just wait.
