People stop being weird about what other people ship challenge and trying to find reasons why they're morally superior for not shipping it

Y'all. I'm so fucking tired of Other Super heroes adopting Peter. Putting aside the fact that he's a grown ass man in his late 20s- early 30s. I've heard things like "Peter doesn't have any family." And what even are you talking about? Peter is Aunt May's baby boy. You won't even pry Peter's parenthood from May's cold dead hands.

And yes, May will absolutely throw hands with Iron Man, Bruce Wayne, and whoever else. Or, seduce Jarvis, Alfred, or whatever older mentor figure of anyone who dares to try to claim her Peter. May is like that. Hell, Mr. Negative is more her arch nemesis than Peter's.

Anyways that's not the adoption question of the Spider heroes. The mother figure of the Spiders ilare Julia carpenter and Jesdica drew. The real question is which orphaned hero will *they* take in?

What if they were stuck with each other, were forced to work together to survive, and meanwhile talked about their past(s) and got along, propably not enough to buddy up, but enough to want to team up to scrap up Shockwave??

so many people say they don't ship zutara because it would undermine zuko's redemption & arc in the series, and i just feel like that interpretation of the ship doesn't align at all with how most actual shippers of the ship read the show

rather than arguing that the interactions between zuko & katara in atla were inherently romantic, zutara shippers mostly believe that they were emotionally charged & had the chemistry that could result, in time, with reciprocated feelings - a majority of zutara fanart and fanfic depicts far post-canon zutara

saying the agni kai was a "zutara moment" doesn't mean it was a romantic moment with romantic intention & that it proves zutara. zuko would have taken the lightning for any member of the gaang, what makes that scene so poignant for zutara shippers is how the narrative required zuko to take it for katara, as it allots so much depth to their relationship that in time might be perceived romantically

it just feels so reductionist to say zutara shippers think zuko's motivation to redeem himself is inherently tied to katara, because they don't. conversely there is an argument that if the show was rewritten or done with that intention, it might have been possible for zutara and zuko's redemption to exist individually & apart of each other (like zutara starting romantically in a potential season four after zuko redeemed himself)

but with the show we have, the real belief in zutara is that it should have happened eventually, and that overall it was the better narrative choice

& saying that people who saw that chemistry in the show are insane is really a strange argument. sure, maybe you thought that chemistry was platonic and that makes sense. but aren't the best romantic relationships extrapolations of great friendships, anyway?

There’s so many posts right now about how “X is stupid because it changes a character’s core traits / it’s entirely unlike them” ... about fanart. And fanfiction. Not on meta analysis, but fanart and fanfiction.

Y’all realize this is fandom, right? Where we make things that aren’t canonically true? Where we indulge in ships and characters and explorations that canon doesn’t fodder us with?

Excluding the old man Madara who manipulated Obito, none of these are men over the age of fifty, canonically. Itachi died in his twenties; Shisui died when he was sixteen. Kakashi is in his late twenties, unless you're counting his Boruto incarnation. Neither Hashirama nor Tobirama seem to have lived past thirty. I don't know where you're going with this, or why you're calling this an older men ship event. I'm sorry, thirty is not old. It's not even middle-aged. They aren't.

Furthermore, there is nothing intrinsically “taboo” or wrong about older men (or men in their thirties) being shipped with any characters, so I don’t know why you’re branding it as such - unless this is exclusively a kink event. If you want to ship with these popular characters, then just call it a “hot guy multiship event”. Thanks. 

First of all, light up this is an event, a fandom event, Isn’t a plan to save the world so why is it so important? I just wanted everyone to get the idea in the easiest and short way possible because it was a proposal to create the said event, but I guess people tend to look deeper and, how can I say it…

I didn’t say the oldest man alive gold edition, I just said older man, and if we take our main protagonists, technically they all are older than them, because yes, people make a fuss out of “little age gaps” too, so I wanted to include them? in an event specially made for them so NOBODY could say ooh but I don’t like this because… you were warned don’t like don’t participate is that easy.  

And is not just for the kink, I mentioned I changed the name, so we don’t have this misunderstanding, and again, ONCE I create the official event it will be clearer.

I added special characters like Itachi and Shisui, which are the youngest because they are popular among my followers and people I follow and I just thought I wanted to consider them too and have some fun enjoying our stuff, period.

Some people take the fun off of everything, relax, have some sugar and hug a tree. Let ship be ship and chill.

And what is that Boruto thing? never heard of it
