God damn, since when is it important that your friends be of the same race, or speak the same language as you? Like yeah... it'd be nice if you knew some of their language and vice versa, but seriously. This sentiment that you can only talk to people who speak the same language as you, or that people have to fucking have to speak English all over the world... it drives me fucking nuts. I am going to talk to as many people...from as many backgrounds and that talk as many different languages... because I believe that that is how you become cultured. You learn about the people who are from different places and you enjoy you experiences with those people, and you try your hardest to navigate away from people who mean you harm. When people say "welp, that person doesn't speak English... I don't want to talk to them!" It really pisses me off. I just can't with this mentally.
