Sketches I did of the Current D&D Campaign I’m in that’s being run by Toren X3 I’m running around with an Archfey Pact Warlock version of Dolly for it and definitely going to be getting a familiar when the time comes (Hence the PseudoDragon and Faerie Dragon Sketches on the bottom). I also had to doodle @azirtheshark ‘s Wild Sorcerer, Cassius along with Our group Cat Dragon, Lord Adrial and Phil’s Itanta Juggernaut, Sorokin :’) I’ll definitely be doodling more when given the chance X3 Itanta are a race created by @chaz-serir
What is Itanta culture like? What sort of political system do they have? Is there a major folkloric figure in Itanta culture?
Yay, I get to talk about my favourite ITS alien species :D
Itanta culture is something of a mix of modern Scottish culture and modern Chinese/Japanese culture (With more emphasis on the Scottish side of things). Itanta settlements tend to be fairly compact, and as a result even with areas that have small populations, the communities are bustling and close-knit. One thing the Itanta pride themselves on is their affinity for technology, including their ability to salvage otherwise scrapworthy electronics into something useful. They're also really proud of their culinary skills, and in particular "Itanto Shortbread" is a favourite among the other aliens in the universe.
As far as politics are concerned, on the home planet of Itanto itself, the Itanta consider themselves a Technocracy - The most skilled and capable of their scientists, engineers, and so on are selected to help guide the country towards a hopefully brighter future. They are not entirely dependent on these scientists and engineers to help them, however - skilled diplomats and negotiators are selected to help discuss trade deals with the other alien races and planets in the galaxy.
Outside of Itanto, however, things get a bit more complicated. Itanta-dominated communities close to the galaxy's economical center are considered part of the Galactic Trade Council, a board consisting of all the major races in the galaxy who regulate trade rules within GTC grounds, as well as funding the Galactic Trade Council Police force, also known as GTCP or GalCop.
Further out, in less-traveled sectors of the galaxy, the Itanta mostly keep to themselves, in small, independently governed settlements. Worse still, some of these settlements have been captured and annexed by the Quargon governments, and the Itanta living in those settlements are forced to live under harsh Quargon rule.
As far as folkloric figures are concerned, some Itanta do consider there to be an entity similar to the "Machine Spirit" in the Warhammer universe, an invisible force that protects the Itantas' technology in order to allow it to continue functioning. Others don't believe this quite so much, stating rather flatly that their technology is held together with duct tape and sheer force of will, and that percussive maintenance (i.e. throwing a hammer at it) will almost always fix a technological problem. It's universally agreed, however, that Itanta technology functions because of their sheer faith in it, regardless of where that faith comes from.
(A/N: Just a quick non-canon thing I doodled up while waiting for plot stuff to happen with the Minecraft Baker :3 I like the idea of Herobrine taking on the form of whoever faces him, so I figured a HerobrItanta would be amusing. In this case, Chaz!Herobrine doesn't appear to have any eyes at all. That's because the glasses are his eyes, and they constantly glow in a similar manner to the Scary Shiny Glasses trope.)
A Passing Visitor (Prelude)
(Chaz's caption, in case the picture shows up too small:"Hmm... Who's that, following Athyallë? Seems friendly enough, I'll have to speak with her the next time I see her.")
(A/N: This links up with Neighbro and the Minecraft Baker's current plot-thing, where Athyallë and Liz are heading into Mountainview. Since Chaz lives on the outskirts of the town, I figure he might have spied the two of them coming in. I checked with Liz, she's fine with this idea. :D)
I got my stickers in from Greys today! :D Thanks again, Greys!
(A/N: Sorry for the non-picture answers XD)
(I have a few questions to catch up with here, and while some of them are interesting to answer, I wouldn't really have much of a picture to go with them. I'll have more pictures in the future though XD)
