autistic little guy 😭🫶
enjolras's service dog is a leonberger named patria and she's the chillest thing ever,
, unless she's in a protest
this isn't her fault, really. but between how enj wanted to rebel against the whole sd thing, and he wanted to be louder during protests, he found it a good idea to teach her to bark at protests
(fey helped with that because he found it hilarious)
now if they're in a crowd and enj commands her to "chant", patria will go absolutely wild, barking and howling while her tail wags at unseen speeds
between all the patches, patria's vest now also has a pocket with all her documents that prove she's a service dog, because the amount of cops that have threatened to take her away while enj was being arrested, as they thought she could in no way be a sd if she was behaving so unprofessionally... worth it though
(due to Incidents, enj is no longer allowed to give this command unless someone who can retrieve patria's focus is nearby)
literally so eepy,,,

@cinder-cider27 @prouvairesverse annoying yall bc u seemed interested lol (sry for no jehanparnasse in this one 🥀)
tryna decide whether i post the service dog au fic today or i wait until i reread it later or even tmr,,,, so many questions unanswered 😔✨
pre!jbm joly having a bad psychotic episode for the first time since meeting chetta and bossuet,,, him temporarily cutting all contact with them bc he doesnt want his situationships to be scared of him,,, them going to check on him bc theyre worried hes not answering their texts,,, finding him a trembling, sobbing mess,,, them staying with him all through the episode,,, comforting him through his hallucinations and making sure he stays safe,,, their presence itself making the episode less bad,,, joly after its over being so ashamed and upset bc he didnt want them to see him that way,,, them reassuring him they dont see him differently and are there for him regardless of anything,,,
chat is this tuff
Cosette with POTS.
She goes through a phase of thinking it's just dissociation (something that happened to me) and then one day she casually asks JVJ "Is having a heart rate of 150 normal?"
He freaks out lmao. But yeah, the buildup from all of her childhood trauma could very well result in the development of a chronic illness. Just a cool idea.
I LOVE GIVING THE COSETTE CHRONIC ILLNESSES !!!! you are very correct,,, theres nowhere else the childhood trauma could go trust,,,,,
"yeah everyone gets all dizzy and woozy and weird when they dissociate... oh hey dad my heartrate is 150 is that normal?" HELP 😭 she so would do this i love her 😭😭
am i giving les amis service dogs?
well,
wait bestie i gotta know: what do you headcanon joly as having? i haven’t totally decided on anything for my teacher au (besides anxiety lol). but like as far as physical ailments what do you give him?
i’ve given enjolras eds, pots, and mcas because that’s what i have and part of me is like “ooh joly could have the same! it’s fun to have friends with the same shit as you” and the other part of me is like “but there’s so many other kinds of disabilities out there you should do other ones too” (which would require a lot more research on my part 😭😭😭 which maybe i want to do, but probably not lol)
it depends on the au tbh-
main au and service dog au, he's got a birth malformation in his legs, which he's got a ton of pt and operations for since he was a kid. used to be a wheelchair user, now can do with just his cane, which is what he's gonna use for most likely the rest of his life :)
agere au, he's probably gonna have fibro or something alike to it - i havent thought of it much truth be told, but i do always seem to go for fibro when idk what to do lol, its either gonna be that or arthritis i think
in another au of mine, this one unnamed, and probably in my future canon era aus, he's gonna get Unidentified Chronic Pain, because that's how it is for me - no doctors willing to do their job, so I've got no diagnosis nor any idea what the hell is wrong with me -, and since the first au is more for me to project onto joly, and in canon era he wouldn't have received enough medical attention to diagnose him... well, it just seemed to fit
also, in almost every single au of mine he's got a pretty low pain tolerance (unfunnily enough) and a super weak immune system, and being ill typically causes him to flare so that's fun - im not sure how typical that last bit is for disorders other than whatever i have, but oh well, gotta project onto the guy!!
my gf reminded me of the idea of potsie!joly a day or two ago, too, and while i havent added it to any aus yet, i really am excited to do so :)
another one i think would be kinda cool would be making him an amputee- and i dont mean amputating his leg(s), but an arm or hand, besides whatever disorder is already keeping him from walking unaided. i dont know, this concept popped in my brain just now, even if i usually make fey the one missing limbs here lmfao
for more mental disorders, obviously anxiety (to different degrees of severity), and also autism because c'mon, it's joly /silly (maybe even audhd? unsure)
besides those (and sometimes health-related ocd), because joly seems relatively sane to me, i dont really add anything else to his brain soup. that being said, i completely would eat up a version of joly that had ptsd... i usually give him some sort of medical trauma, but not full blown ptsd, which would be very interesting to see imo
the mental stuff usually stays mostly the same in most of my aus, so there's not much change there. i like focusing more on physical disabilities so i can kinda outweigh the clear disparities in typical fandom culture... and also its more fun :3
hope this was helpful!! <3
