Thinking about I Think I’ll Keep You’s reader. Would miguel let her ride him? If so is she still on this shyness term or is she already confident in taking miguel?

Hi anon! I realized this was sitting in my inbox and I never answered it even though it's an AMAZING question!! 🩷

So I think right now Miguel and Reader are in a time of figuring out what the other person is actually like. They've had these views on each other that have been really skewed this whole time. Miguel thinks Reader is a bit of a pushover; used her for intimacy without keeping up his end of the connection and Reader views Miguel as this perfect, can-do-no-wrong almost celebrity.

This is why I think chapter one is one of those things where you can't depend on the written words to tell you the truth. Because it's deeply affected and changed by the points of view of characters with false perceptions. Unreliable narrator if you know what I mean.

That being said, I do think the dynamic between them at least in the bedroom is very Miguel dominant and Reader on the other side of that. But I do think there is potential for both Miguel and Reader to be dominant at the same time in different ways. Especially if they're dynamic moves further from fuck-buddies and more towards a real relationship. We'll see the two of them rub off on each other in different ways (pun intended haha)

Miguel's respect for Reader has definitely gone up since the beginning of all of this. Or at least I hope so. We'll see whatever else he can fuck up down the line.

So long story short. Yes! I do think Miguel would let Reader ride him. And it might take some encouragement for her to actually get into it, but that's hot too, right? From what we've seen, Miguel just wants to be wanted. Maybe more than Reader does. So of course he'd love to see and feel Reader lust over him.

I'll say this - at this point, I think Miguel will let Reader do whatever she wants. As long as it involves him somehow. 🤷‍♀️

TBH, Chapter 2 of "I Think I’ll Keep You" has some of the hottest smut I ever read 🔥🥵 I know our boy, Miguel needs to grovel a bit more but damn I need more. Also super excited for some jealous from Miguel, our boy need to see what he is loosing! Ok end of my rant, THANK YOU!

The lyrics, the sound of it, even the tempo, I think it all reflects the feeling and story of someone not really knowing where they stand with somebody even when they're so involved in that person's life. I think that's reader's problem with a lot of people is wanting to be wanted and be a part of someone's life in a way that they'll appreciate, but that's not something she can control.

And Miguel sort of took advantage of that, knowing she'd always come back and be there when he wanted her.

Relationships have only ever been casual for Miguel. Even familial relationships. And reader is almost incapable of having causal relationships, she loves quick and deeply. Needing Miguel to be her one and only. And they're more similar than they even realize.

"I try to be the chill girl that holds her tongue and gives you space... I try to be the chill girl but... honestly I'm not..."

The dynamic in this song just reminds me all the time of this story! Maybe I'll make a playlist on Spotify dedicated to ITIKY!! That would be fun! Thank you for the ask!

Sure! I’m currently working on chapter 4 of I Thought I Knew You

“I’m perfectly alright, my dear.” The lie was effortless, as they always were. “I was just preoccupied with a…” Well, maybe not effortless. He did have to take a split second to think of something, he just hoped Charlie didn’t notice. “...aaa lesson plan for Angel Dust! Yes, I believe I’ve come up with just the thing to get him through this… difficult time.”

“Oh, that’s wonderful!” From the excitement lacing her tone, it was safe to say she hadn’t noticed a thing. “I can’t believe I was worrying, you’re always such a great help! I’ll leave you to it!” 

His sensitive ears twitched slightly as he listened to her footsteps fade down the hallway. Well, that was one crisis avoided. With that, he supposed it was time to leave his room. As much as he could pace and fret over this all day, he really didn’t have the time. More importantly, he couldn’t let Angel Dust know he had any doubts. The key to winning this was confidence, and in that category it would seem the two of them were nearly equally matched. If Angel Dust knew Alastor was even the slightest bit concerned, it could turn the tables of their deal faster than Alastor would be able to stop them. If he were honest with himself, the only way to really guarantee a win would be sabotage. 

He froze mid-step, his eyes widening. Oh. Oh that wasn’t a bad thought at all. Sabotage would certainly get the job done, as dirty as it was. If he could tempt Angel Dust into giving up on this whole ordeal and indulging in sin, as was his nature, Alastor was certain he would fail within days.

It would seem he hadn’t lied to Charlie after all. He really was going to come up with lesson plan for Angel Dust, just not one that worked in his favor.

Author’s Note: Okay guys, here’s the dealio. Because formatting is such an unbelievable pain in the ass on Tumblr, I’ve decided for the sake of my mental health I’m not dealing with it anymore.
