Hello, my name is Renny! This tumblr blog has been months in the making, but I’ve finally decided to start it! Welcome to Ophiuchus Interactive, a blog dedicated to my journey through creating Choicescript games!
I’m new to Choicescript, but excited that something like this exists! I used to write WWYFFs and I’ve decided to turn those quizzes into the reality I’ve always wanted them in!
I present to you:
THE WASTES ARE NO PLACE TO CALL HOME
Life out in The Wastes is harsh and cruel. Law means nothing anything west of the Rima Hadley River, and the only form of justice to be found was at the end of one’s own gun.
You pickpocketed, robbed, cheated, and schemed your way through life with your partner in crime, Yoshie. Through thick and thin, the two of you had been through it all since the death of your parents twelve years ago.
Upon receiving a contract from a mysterious benefactor, you and Yoshie decide to take it- to make this train robbery the last, great heist you ever do. The payment, the opportunity to leave...it all seemed there, right in the cards.
But it wasn’t.
After spending your entire life running away from the law, you’re now forced to join it when the train robbery goes terribly wrong. Being recruited by the crew of the Cheyenne, you set out on a quest for vengeance, treasure, and to take down the gang responsible for turning your life upside down: The Regulators.

Most of, if not ALL of these romance routes will be a bit of a slowburn. This story is a work in progress!
But enough pomp and circumstance! Let’s get to it-
Valerian Jameson Polk (male, bisexual): Captain of the Cheyenne and Council Marshal appointed to be the head of the task force against The Regulators. With a heart of gold and strong morals, Valerian is a man who lives and dies by “act first, think later”. Despite his recklessness (driven primarily by his innate urge to help people) he’s a very clever individual, and talented at what he does. He is the lone voice approving of your stay on the Cheyenne, initially.
Peter Emerson Hughs (male, bisexual): The second in command, best friend, and secondary Council Marshal to the task force, Peter is the brains to Valerian’s brawn. Due to his upbringing and natural giftedness, Peter has a mighty intellect, and often acts as the tactician for Valerian’s efforts against The Regulators. He’s a kindhearted and spirited individual, who’d appreciate the diplomatic approach more than going in guns a-blazing. He is suspicious of your recruitment to the Cheyenne, though is willing to offer you a chance.
Rosalie Bernadetta Choy (female, lesbian): The Cheyenne’s resident mechanic, Rosalie is both the most technologically capable and youngest member of the crew (21). Rosalie is the very definition of sunshine, which can often be perceived as her being naivete. Rosalie was asked to join by Valerian, and accepted due to her need to help people. She is lifelong friends with the Cheyenne’s doctor, Thane.
Ophelia (female, bisexual): A well-known and admired personality to the Council of Interplanetary Systems, Ophelia is an encyclopedia of knowledge for the crew. Born from the all-female warrior race of the Harpii, Ophelia went against all expectations and became a scholar of the ancient Vidarri race. Ophelia is an overall good-natured person, and has a desire to see things resolved in a peaceful manner. This does not mean, however, that Ophelia doesn’t know her way around the gun- or the philosophy of “the ends justifying the means”.
Thane Karr’al-Cyrc (Male, bisexual): The sawbones and best sharpshooter of the Cheyenne, Thane is the half-Kal'Morra offspring often seen as being a very cold and harsh individual, lacking little to no bedside manners in spite of his excellent skills as both a surgeon and a doctor. Thane joined the crew at the behest of Peter, as well as wanting to keep an eye on his friend, Rosalie. Thane is, on the inside, a very gentle soul. The Regulators were the ones that made him this way.
Sergio DeLuca (Male, gay): The most recent addition to the crew besides your recruitment, Sergio joined by order of the Council, much to Valerian’s chagrin. Sergio is a private detective, sent to join the Cheyenne by his boss. Sergio, despite his prim and proper attitude, is helpful and caring, and more than capable of defending himself in a fight. Few trust him on the ship, however- something that is not done entirely out of reason.
Javier Ortega (Male, bisexual): The pilot of the Cheyenne recruited by Valerian, Javier has the skills to back up his ego. Originally a smuggler part of the Ortega crime family, Javier has more than enough reason for his place in the Cheyenne as anyone. There’s more to Javier than his cocky and braggadocios nature- not every smile he wears is a real one. He’s calculating, and given the right reason, a ruthless individual. Best not to underestimate him.
Hawkeye (Male/Female, bisexual): A moniker believed to have been passed down from generation to generation of assassins, Hawkeye is both a fantastical myth and terrifying reality. This legendary assassin is said to act with honor, employed by no person but themselves, and going after only the most heinous in society with power.
A chance encounter with a particular outlaw and crew could change this, however.
