Soren and Runaan but their entire relationship is just "reluctant dad & reluctant kid"

Like they're very much father and son but they don't want to be. Runaan doesn't want another kid to deal with while Soren doesn't want another dad that will eventually hurt him again. So they're always butting heads when they try to help each other. It just makes the father and son vibes go wild.

Rayla and Ethari are amused. Soren is much more willing to let Ethari take on a parental role and Runaan is much more willing to let Rayla be his kid(obviously). But with each other? No sir, it's not happening.

But one day, the father and son vibes just goes crazy and having a field day. Soren and Runaan are both passed out against a tree with Soren asleep on Runaan like a happy cat. Runaan is the first to wake up and his first instinct is to push Soren off. But he decides against it because Soren reminds him of when Rayla was younger and would only sleep if she was on top of him or Ethari because she was scared of them leaving like her parents did.

So Runaan lets Soren sleep on him and will threaten anyone who gets too close.

Random Guard: Crownguard-

Runaan: holding up his blade with Soren still asleep on him Back away

Random Guard: Uhm yes sir.

Random Guard #2: Moonshadow Assassin, we need Crownguard Soren.

Runaan: You can have him if you can survive a cut to your throat.
