ok one more infinity train ramble

grace and simon start the season at somewhat the same point, morally speaking. and as the season goes on, their journeys begin to contrast each other.

grace gets better, employs empathy, reevaluates her thoughts and beliefs through her interactions with hazel and then amelia. she realizes she needs to change and puts in the effort to do so. she gets to start her redemption.

meanwhile, simon refuses to change the way he thinks, refuses to cooperate or listen, acts entirely entitled, and goes as far as to no longer see even grace as human. and he dies because of it.
