I keep thinking abt this bc it’s so funny to me, can you imagine Magic in clearing 2? Like she’s just going about her day and suddenly she’s screaming in pain bc surprise girly!! Broken leg!!!

Would she feel Owen’s exhaustion? Bc he didn’t sleep for a while pre lever pulling. Actually maybe since it’s a dl au he’d avoid doing some of that bc he’d feel bad for whoever his soulmate was,,

it is fun to think about the dynamic with the outsiders and their soulmates before they know who their soulmates are, wanting to take care of themselves to not hurt the other even before theyve met

maybe magic would feel his exhaustion and then sleep extra for his sake to try to help, i could see her doing that (and she can have like mae or someone run the clearing in the meantime)

i ALSO think emotions and stuff would carry over!! since, if PHYSICAL pain carries over, it only makes sense EMOTIONAL pain would too. poor hugger duo would be feeling each others stress and then itd just be like stress²

I find the whole magic and Owen thing rlly interesting (bias) which you know, but I’ve been thinking about it and during the levers Owen would have been like, a huge warning flag that something was super wrong.

like if the outsiders can tell that Owen does have a soul bound bc he takes damage and stuff, but they don’t know where they are, it’s reasonable to assume it’s someone somewhere else in the maze. I can kinda picture Owen being more willing to let people in bc he wants to find his sb.

so then the levers happen, and no one’s sure what they did for a while, right? But Magic definitely got injured during that and was running for her life, so if all of that randomly impacting Owen then clearing 1 was probably super worried. Also Apo prolly felt rlly bad :(

poor owen would need to be helping run the clearing and still protecting the others while also dealing with the ungodly pain from magic

naturally its built into him from a young age to get back up when hes hurt, regardless of whats going on, so his acheing bones mixed with magics bleeding wounds would NOT be a very nice combo

owen would probably realize SOMETHING too when magic finally comes into the clearing and for the first time isnt having his feelings mixed with her fear, anxiety, and pain

while the griever is literally directly over his head, he'd be more at peace then he'd been in for weeks
