When it’s quiet....

Being a mom of 2 boys is not an easy task. You spend all day making sure they are getting ready for school, feeding hungry mouths, making sure homework is done, scheduling naps and running errands. All we ever want is a moment of peace and quiet! Not too much to ask in my opinion. But when it’s quiet....BEWARE!! Quiet in my house means one or both of my children are doing something they shouldn’t.

Today, while making breakfast for Hunter, I realized all too late that it was too quiet. I just sat there enjoying the moment of peace.

I walk around the kitchen wall and find him just sitting on top of a pile of packed boxes. All the progress made in packing were now under my 1 year old’s butt! He was having a good time pouring his juice in between boxes and even into some of the boxes.

Due to 3 herniated disks and 4 pinched nerves, packing is very slow since I can’t bend, lift or reach very well. It slowed down a lot more today when instead of packing new boxes, I had to clean and repack boxes previously done. Talk about your moving roadblocks! We are down to less than 2 weeks until closing and there is still so much to pack!!!!!

Moral of the story...unless your children are asleep in a padded locked room (which that is never the case) never trust the silence....EVER! Quite=trouble, messes, terror!
