On #Facebook & #Twitter I'm seeing comments displaying frustration over a #transgender barbie. First of all, kudos & much respect to the Barbie brand for doing this! Congrats @itsbambii The #LGBTQ+ lifestyle is part of the world we live in. So why shouldn't they be represented? I don't get it...people wanted black barbies that fully represent #POC with natural hair & #Barbie did better and made dolls of more shapes, races, & lifestyles. So now it's transgender and there's a problem? It's not about agreeing/accepting it...but you have #respect it. Many people of different walks of life demanded representation & respect for so long, for whatever reason, but feel it's unnecessary for others? That's ridiculous & shameful. Someone like Bambii is #inspirational to many people trying to live their true selves & battle with it everyday because of a disrespectful close minded #society. Sure, everyone has their own point of view & some ppl feel that this lifestyle is unnatural...but the only thing that truly matters is that ppl like her are represented & RESPECTED! So you don't agree with a transgender doll? Ok cool, don't buy it. But be sure to respond #honestly & properly when your child(ren) asks why they can't have it and when they ask what is transgender.
