My first album, "How Long", took me almost 7 years to write and record. It was about whatever I was inspired to write about, but mostly love and relationships. (Except "Victoria Song", which was about my hometown, Victoria, but disguised as a love song) As I started thinking about this next one, I was also examining my purpose and how I reflect God into the world. I had heard before the saying that "Your purpose is the place where your deepest passion and the world's deepest need meet." I realized that we in the world don't need more songs about broken love, heartbreak, sex, the club, drugs, hopelessness, numbness... what the world needs is truth, and most of all right now, I think we need hope. I decided my next album will be modern R&B Pop ( #itshowido ), but with messages that align with, and speak truth and hope. Since the end of last year I've been writing and writing and writing, and although the album isn't ready, I'll be releasing a single in the meantime.
