For the asks, do you have a favorite episode of Stranger Things?
YES ITS SEASON TWO EPISODE SIX “THE SPY”
this episode is flawless with one exception and that is: jancy hooking up. i’ll discuss it later. first of all, the grouping of the characters is fucking magnificent. the A plot has hopper, joyce, will, mike, bob, and owens. this is a nearly perfect assortment of people. i am constantly talking about how much i love owens as a character and a huge part of that is the interactions he has with hopper. add bob in the mix? baby we’re cooking with middle aged men. i also just love mike hanging out with the adults in this episode? contributing to the cause with all the ideas he has crammed inside his little brain? i love that. they should let the kids and adults interact more often.
the b plot is steve, dustin, lucas, and max. yet again a perfect assortment of characters. it’s the first time we get to see steve meaningfully interact with dustin during the train track scene and ALSO the first time he interacts with lucas and max. not to mention the amount of steve hero worship that goes on, rightfully so. he’s a bad bitch in that episode. the conversation lucas and max have on top of the bus is one of my favorite scenes in the whole series, like genuinely top three. it cements both of them as fucking excellent characters, max because she’s a great example of how to write a child whose undergone trauma and lucas because he listens to her with complete empathy and doesn’t put it in a romantic context. it’s just like a phenomenal scene and sometimes (every time) i cry watching it!
the c plot i have beef with because a big chunk of it is an adult man encouraging two teenagers to hook up at his house which. yikes. not to mention like i have problems with jancy in general and i think it’s a little insane to have one scene of will literally struggling to remember who everyone in his life is while his older brother (one of whose primary traits is like being a protective older brother lol) is just straight chilling in another state. but what can i say no one’s perfect.
ultimately it’s an insanely well written and well paced episode which displays stranger things strength as a series: its character dynamics!!
📖 (Congrats on 500 followers!)
Actually, I’m currently reading The Mortal Instruments for the first time (a nameday present from the lovely @star--cuffed--jeans)! A lot of my mutuals on here have read it and they’re all so passionate about the book series that I was inspired to give it a go!
I’m a very slow reader because it’s difficult for me to concentrate sometimes, but I am currently on City of Glass. Honestly, a little disappointed at the lack of Malec; I know there’s more coming, but for now there’s practically no content for them. The others characters are growing on me though; I’ve been pleasantly surprised by Clary and Jace in particular.

👕🎷🍩?
👕 What’s your favourite outfit of season 1?
listen i love the white violin tux as much as the next guy but im actually going to have to go with vanya’s outfit in s1ep1....the amount of gender envy i get from that blue flannel with the elbow patches is quite frankly ridiculous. and ALSO i love her oversized black jacket with the leather sleeves, ABSOLUTELY a look i would steal
🎷 You get to nominate a song for the series, what do you pick?
I WANT NOTHING MORE THAN A FIGHT SCENE SET TO HISTORY ERASER BY COURTNEY BARNETT. netflix i am giving this one to you free of charge
🍩 What’s your doughnut preference?
krispy kreme glazed and chocolate with sprinkles hell yeah
i hate to show up randomly and dump headcanons in your inbox (hi, i love your blog!), but i for some reason feel like Robin has a really close relationship with her dad, and that they are both really into scifi and fantasy and like to watch movies/swap book recommendations.
oh that would be SO cute!!! i love that idea that's adorable
so, i am literally an idiot and JUST put two and two together and realized that you are the author of a bunch of my favorite vanya fics (and tua fics in general!) and wanted to say thank you! she deserves so much and the empathy and nuance with which you write her is absolutely incredible 💛
hi!!! yeah, you’ve left some of the best comments i’ve ever received tbh!!! i’m so glad you like how i write her, she’s probably one of my favorite characters i’ve ever written for and i put a lot of myself in how i write her, so it can get hm. quite personal at times jkdhfgkjdfg so it’s wonderful to hear that it works for people!!!
⭐ put this star into the inbox of your favorite blogs, it's time to spread positivity!!
aww thank you!!! :D
For questions about Steve Harrington: What is your favorite and least favorite thing about Steve’s character arc? Are there any characters he hasn’t interacted with that you’d like to see him interact with in future seasons? Do you have a favorite line of his (or from the show in general)? (Feel free to answer or not answer and of these! I hope you are having a nice day!)
thank uuuuuuuuuuuu i love talking and this is so much fuel
my favorite thing about his character arc is definitely pairing him with dustin (and by extension all the kids) i genuinely just think it was a stroke of genius. he really couldve gone anywhere at the end of season one/start of season two yknow? like he was just there. neutralized. and the fact that they were like hmmmm lets have him become best friends with the little nerdy kid. GENIUS. my least favorite thing is definitely how repetitive his storyline is. season one is about him being a bad guy and realizing he doesnt have to be and then redeeming himself. season two is about him realizing nancy doesnt love him and via taking care of the kids redeeming himself. season three is about him realizing (again????) that he was a dick in high school and via being friends with robin redeeming himself. like we get it? he was a jerk three seasons ago? its so incessant with the constant reminders and it feels like we never get any progress with him. the scene where he was literally just TORTURED and robins like “you were a real asshole you know” makes me so mad like robin...........give him a second please!
i want him to interact with jonathan so so so bad i can feel a deep ache in my bones but......im sorry em.....if i HAD to choose someone for him to have like an in depth storyline with it would be hopper. what can i say! steve has daddy issues and so do i! plus i think david and joe could work so well together and really nail that kind of dry humor theyre both really good at.
favorite line honestly is in 2.09 i think it was where he tells nancy “no one’s leaving anybody” its just so.......sweet! and to me it kinda cements his Role in the group as a whole. like he knows everyone has a job to do and his job was to stay with the kids. it makes me cry!
