Mancini's. MANcini's. What do they do in that restaurant with their patrons?
Flowchart response: I am an American woman, but lived in England for 7 years and am married to a British man. Really I'd say British guys wouldn't even have that conversation that way. Hard to describe, but it's true they don't talk so directly. They'd be fairly obvious at some point that they were hetero though (if they were). So we've got a contrived conversation I think. It's purpose? To plant the idea in our heads (imo), just as you are pointing out. It's beautiful in it's ambiguity.
Thanks! Insightful and relevant.

In TPLOSH she disarms Sherlock with amnesia, in BBC it's her Mary persona - a lie. Irene on the other hand charms him with her real persona. Hmm.. in TPLOSH, Mycroft is miles ahead on the whole scheme, I wonder if he will be with AGRA too?
Would you believe I actually have a theory about the amnesia thing as it relates to Mary/agra? (cause I actually do, lol). As for Mycroft... well, that's the question, isn't it? (I worry about him, constantly.)

What, ya t'ink I'm from Noo Yawk or sumpin'? Ya t'ink I tawk like I'm from da Bronx? Or Brooklyn? Aaaayyyyy, fuhgeddaboudit!
(lol, yeah accents can get tricky, specially when there are ellisions, Like "tri-cyclics // trick cyclist" I think would be hard to tell apart in any accent if you don't know the idiom. Oh well, I learned something new. Yay!)
