Me encantaron todos los Mexicanismos en el comic, en especial la apariencia de Coyolxauhqui despedazada usado como comedia, ¡me morí a carcajadas!

Donají es fantástica, pero no me puedes mostrar un chamaco con alas sin que lo dibuje. Le di un cuervo sinaloense de amigo porque parece ser la única especie de cuervo que vive cerca de Oaxaca, donde me parece que es la aventura. Ojalá adiviné correctamente.

Characters of @shi-gu from the comic series Codex Black. You should read it when you get the chance.

In December I made the character glyphs for the Corn Siblings 🌽, as well as Tlazolteotl's, which were long overdue. I also took the chance to revamp those of the three main characters, since they were already growing old. Especially in Chicahualizteotl's case, since I made his original glyph prior to his last major redesign, so it had been outdated for a long time.

Some curious facts on Tlazolteotl's below!

Unlike all other Codex Black characters (most of which are fictional), Tlazolteotl is abundantly depicted in codices, so her character glyph is heavily inspired on various existing images of her:

I mostly added the shield and arrows, depicting her as a warrior (in her role as a goddess of childbirth), as well as the coral snake, which is prominent in most of her depictions, linking her to lust and carnal desires.

Tlazolteotl is also a goddess of Huastec origin, so to nod at that, the design of the coral snake she is holding is based on a Huastec conch shell pectoral, which depicts her emerging from the maw of a snake:
