IVF Injections
Learn all about IVF injections side effects from mild to severe symptoms, emotional impacts, and tips from fertility experts at Babies & Us
✨ IVF is a tough journey, and the injections can feel overwhelming. But the truth? Most side effects—like bloating, mood swings, or headaches—are temporary and manageable. 💉💙
How many injections are required during IVF pregnancy treatment?
As one of Gurgaon's most experienced infertility physicians, I suggest that the amount and timing of injections and treatments vary according to individual circumstances like patient age, ovarian reserve and medication efficacy. At the same time, some women may require fewer injections, while others may need more depending on their particular fertility concerns and desired goals for treatment.
IVF procedures involve administering several injections over several weeks to patients undergoing IVF, usually administered at home and containing drugs to stimulate follicle development, such as FSH (Follicle follicle-stimulating hormone), LH and human gonadotropin (hCG). These injections must be precisely timed to facilitate egg development and the maturation of ovarian follicles containing eggs.
When following the best fertility doctor in gurgaon treatment plan and administering injections according to their recommendations, care must be taken. Regular monitoring via ultrasound scans and blood tests also aids in fine-tuning dosage adjustments to maximize treatment success.
As much as the prospect of injections may be daunting, they're essential to the successful outcome of IVF treatment. Every injection you receive marks another step toward your dream of parenthood. As your fertility expert, I am here to support every step of your IVF journey with assistance, knowledge, and individualized treatment to ensure the most successful results possible.
Ultrasound Stims Day 7
Ultrasound yesterday went okay. Good news and not so good news.
The good news: Right ovary shows 9 follicles all between 8-10 mm!
The not so good news: Left ovary shows 4 follicles between 4-7 mm (still good), BUT my left ovary has now moved above my uterus. Making for a very painful ultrasound and a chance that they will not be able to retrieve the eggs in my left ovary. Since both ovaries were in the correct position before starting stims, the doctor says there is still a chance that my ovary will move back down making retrieval possible.
Back again on Wednesday for another ultrasound, and hopefully we’ll see my left ovary back in the proper place. Until then, we are upping my Menopur from 75IU to 150IU. Today I went for more bloodwork to check if I am ready to add in Cetrotide (to prevent ovulation) in addition to the Menopur and Gonal-F.
Hoping we won’t be doing stims much longer, my tummy has had enough lol.
