So guess who went to see her cherry blossom 🌸 tree 🌳 in Singleton Park yesterday?? Yep, me (and my mum and auntie)! I planted this tree 9 long years ago. The ceremony I and my loved ones held at the time was, essentially, a funeral... after all, I used to say, why should you guys have all the fun after I’m gone?! So I never, ever expected to be here, to be alive, to see my tree grow. I certainly never thought I’d get to see it grow so big and strong. But I’ve done some growing of my own; a LOT of growing. I wish I could go back in time, to whisper into the ear of that scared 16 year old saying goodbye to her loved ones. I’d tell her one simple thing; you will live. In those three words, id encompass everything I’ll go through in the next 9 years... all the suffering, but also all the joy, wonder, laughter, elation, and love. My life has been an indescribably incredible adventure, and I honestly wouldn’t change a single second of it. I just hope the next 9 years holds just as much joy, and perhaps a little less pain. Either way, I know I’ll be okay... because I still have my loved ones by my side ❤️ #ivistedmytree #cherryblossomtree #mytree #iplantedatree #dedicatedtome #itsgrownloads #ivegrownloads #stillhere #stillalive #aliveandliving #whatidtellmyyoungerself #youwilllive (at Swansea Singleton Park) https://www.instagram.com/p/Bwr_dL7FbMs/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1avmeov7jh1ic
