Day 1 — Hobbies / Music ₊˚✧ ﾟ

MC: Micha

Day one! Woo! \o/

So, music and hobbies for Micha doesn't particularly align with his own interests tbh. On his own, he wouldn't have really gotten into anything other than ballet - and he would have quit that pretty young, too. Which isn't to say he doesn't love all the hobbies he gets into thanks to his new friends, he just would have focused his energy towards academics if left to his own devices. He's a big brain boy with a lot of ambition, and he will one day grow up to become a very successful business man or government official of some notoriety. Typically, a skill or hobby would only be explored to achieve it - then set aside to focus on something else. That's just the kind of person he is.

But, right now? Right now, he just likes seeing his friends smile. He likes being an active participant in their lives and their interests and so, yes, he will take the time out of his studies to dedicate himself to learning the violin and the fox trot and executing the perfect grand jeté. He will take time out of his day to study and learn with the people he cares about, because they matter the most, and he is going to excel to help push them to excellence as well.

And, if their interests change? Well, that just means he has something new to learn.

A/N: Just want to give a little nod to the Firebird btw, as based off the rendition inside one of my favourite childhood books: Of Swans, Sugarplums and Satin Slippers. I've had my copy since I was a child and I adore the Firebird's story most dearly out of all of them. I like to think Micha has the same book and that he was the winner of a contest on what the next play would be - so he picked Firebird.

A/N+2: Micha goes by He/Him pronouns primarily, mostly for simplicities sake, but he doesn't actually care about gender norms and will do whatever he feels like. They/Them and She/Her pronouns are not off the table - especially if it means he gets to play the roles in life that he most wants to play. Michael does what he wants and people just need to deal with that as far as he's concerned! 🤷‍♂️

Day 2 — Culture / Festival ₊˚✧ ﾟ

Disclaimer: I've changed my MC's origin story 😂 My OLBA and OLNF MC's are twins and both are adopted. Now my ramblings will make more sense, I hope.

Anyways.

So, Ai and Micha are both mixed, but they do have some Chinese in their heritage and they do celebrate it more or less privately and by themselves until their respective friends are introduced into their lives. Even then, it's not something that they really make a big deal out of - mostly because their culture's are a source of sadness for them, since it reminds them of their first family (of which they lost in a car accident when they were around 4yo).

For Micha, he found himself surprisingly comforted to find out Qiu and him share at least one similar culture, it helps him feel a little less alone in a place that he already feels like a complete outsider in. So he cherishes each new year, it's a time that he always reserves a special date for him and Qiu. They always know where to find each other when the night comes and even if they do nothing else but talk and eat moon cakes, it's always the best part of his year.

Day 5 — Texting ₊˚✧ ﾟ

So 😂 No idea what kind of phones are out at this point in time in the game universe, so I just went with your basic ass generic phone concept 🤷‍♂️ it doesn't really matter as far as I'm concerned. I ignore phone designs just like I do shoes 🤣

Anyways - Yes. Micha is one of those people, LOL. The kind of person that hangs on your shoulder or leans on your side while you're on your phone (or computer) and touches your screen or replies to a text for you, because he just has no sense for social norms and doesn't really try learning them until he gets into his mid to late teens - when it starts to become clear that he kind of needs to at least pretend like he knows why you need to go through ten thousand steps of bullshit just to hold a conversation you don't even want to be a part of 🤷‍♂️ kind of at least needs to act like a normal person if he plans to go into politics or business one day.

But, I'm starting to ramble.

This behaviour doesn't stop when he gets a phone of his own, btw 😂 He is forever going to be a nuisance, to Qiu especially, whenever he sees a phone. Not that I think Qiu really ever minds 😏 kind of a win to have your crush literally hanging with and on you tbh.

Day 3 — Jealous ₊˚✧ ﾟ

Micha's very first ring pop ever 😂 it wasn't a big deal until Tamarack got a bit too excited about being the one to give him hers first. Then Qiu got a little bit annoyed. Just a bit.

But that's how it starts, right? Little things that build up over the years of your youth - competitions that start out as fun and harmless that inevitably cause real harm as you keep trying to one up one another. It had to start somewhere 🤷‍♂️ in my story, it starts with the desire for attention and affection for Micha.

Personally, I'm not a very big fan of jealousy tropes - I've never understood the appeal, but I wanted to at least try to explore it a bit here and see what comes of it. If I don't vibe with it, I'll retcon it.

For now though? A bit of childhood jealousy seems innocent enough! And the two will learn one way or another that Micha doesn't deal with that kind of thing sitting down. To him, jealousy is just a pointless waste of energy 😂 there are more important things to focus on.

Day 3.2 — Runaway ₊˚✧ ﾟ

I genuinely could not think of anything for the day 4 prompts, so you're getting this one in their place! I apologise if there's some messy sections, I've never done something in colour before 😂

Anyways, on to the prompt.

So, Micha is one of the MC's that doesn't initially get along with Opal - he doesn't even see her as a mother figure, more of a nanny honestly. It takes him quite a few years to come to terms with his relationship with her and to accept her as family, and though he will be a wonderful son to her when that day eventually comes, he will be a truly terrible child to her in the meantime.

This includes a lot of taking off and ignoring her rules/requests, and a lot of back talking her, or being cold/indifferent to her. He's a very angry young man and that frequently results in arguments (no matter how much Opal tries to defuse a situation) or actual fights when he pushes too hard. At those times, Micha will pack a bag and take off and find Baxter because they (in my hc) stay good friends almost up until he leaves Golden Grove.

One of Micha's favourite ways to get away is to go on long drives with Baxter and find a nice chill place to just hang out and be free for a little bit. It's kind of inspired by my love of songs like Fast Car by Tracy Chapman or Runaway Train by Soul Asylum 😂 they aren't really relevant to the actual story of Our Life, but they have the right vibes for Micha and the story I've given him.

A/N: Which, I should probably add as a note to people who don't know - I've changed Micha's origin quite a bit from the original NF starter one. He and Ren are the same age (was held back in school due to circumstances) and he's also adopted by Opal, so not her biological son. Instead, he is actually the twin sibling to my OLBA MC, Ai. They were separated when they were very young. This is the main reason why he has so much trouble accepting Opal as his mother for such a long time. Just so you know!

Day 2 — Sick Days ₊˚✧ ﾟ

So, I've mentioned this in at least one other post but, Micha is a very sick little guy ✊😔pour one out for the baby homie

I've tried to do research to back up a condition for him (I've also mentioned he's based off an old OC, so this research has been going on since I was a kid really) but 🤔 to be honest, the older I get as a person who also has chronic illness myself, sometimes there just isn't a nice clean box to put your sickness in and sometimes doctors are just as confused about what's happening to you as you are 🤷‍♂️ So, at this point, I'm just going to say he's chronically sick. Like, whatever, I guess! It's just a part of who he is.

Now, with that disclaimer out of the way, if you want the nuances to his condition: He faints in cold weather and goes hypothermic really damn quick. He can be easily fatigued and his immune system can crash if he isn't careful about taking care of himself.

This all being said, Micha is a very stubborn and very angry little child that frequently likes to push past his limits 😂 he hates that his illness limits him and it plays a really big part in his developing personality. It's why he's competitive and combative, it's why he keeps going even when he should stop. It's why he's so independent but also why he's so brave. It's also a big reason why he gravitates towards Opa 🥺💖 they have similar temperaments and I think Opa is going to be a really amazing influence on him as he grows up.

In the meantime, Micha's going to give the gang a few scares throughout the years of knowing each other 😂 he'll certainly mellow out as time goes on and take a priority onto his health because he's at least practical enough at his core for that to kick in naturally. The early years will be an experience for everyone though, I think.

OCkissWeek2026 Day 4 — Wedding

Who Are They?

What's the Story?

So, as I explain in the previous submission, Kit and Lyra are mind and Soups timeless pairing - our most favourite couple 💖 They first met in our Greaser!AU, back in 2019 era and they quickly became utterly enamoured with each other. Kit fell head over heels for those beautiful blue eyes of hers the first time he caught them and he has never stopped looking since. She's his reason, his passion, his security and safety. She's everything he never thought he could ever be worthy of, and every day he wakes up to her sleeping in his bed, he just can't help but be utterly lost for words - because how could a guy like him ever get so damn lucky? He doesn't get it. This piece is within the same AU where it all started, of course. After years and years of dancing around each other and their feelings. After Lyra has to return to France and Kit has to work every damn day to earn enough to follow her. After trial and tribulation and some movie worthy twists, they finally tell each other that they love one another. The wedding is beautiful - she is beautiful - and all the friends, and family (found or otherwise) are there to see these two ridiculous people do what they all had wished and hoped for since the day they'd met one another. And when they step on the floor to dance as husband and wife - they don't stop. Even after everyone else eventually steps away, their eyes are forever on each other as they say those words that took them far too long to say: I love you.

OC x Canon Week 2025 Day 6 — Hug from Behind + Floral/Animal Print & ("Jealous much?")

Game: Our Life: Beginnings & Always Characters: China Schuyler x Cove Holden (ft. Baxter Ward}

tfw your new girlfrend's boyfriend is still salty with you for your past transgressions...

Ngl, sometimes I feel like Cove is just a soundboard for all my strongest impulses 🤣 I love him so dearly and I get a very distinct joy from watching Baxter's struggle to get on his good side.

He's definitely going to have to work harder this time around for that approval rating, though. After Step 3, Baxter's popularity score plummeted into the negatives amongst Ai's family and friends 😂 I'm sure he appreciates that she's still got a positive opinion of him, but I'm also sure he probably thinks her regard is severely misplaced!

What can she do 🤷‍♂️ the girl just loves who she loves, okay?

Anyways, I imagine this moment is not too long after the Step 4 confession. Terry and Miranda may have saved Baxter from a bruised jaw, sure, but certainly not a bruised ego LOL

A/N: If you look closely, you can see that Baxter isn't too impressed with Cove right now either! 🤣
