I don't care what the canon is, you can tear pre-S4 Jude interactions away from my cold dead hands. He is there because I love him and I am lowkey salty that he and Scott were only blessed to us in the last dlc okay 😂

Also, Ai is just a boy's girl through and through 🤷‍♂️ she get's along with Miranda because of their similar temperaments and we obviously get why she clicks with Terry. Generally though, she just doesn't gravitate towards girls (Ai and Elizabeth were like cats and dogs as kids tbh - Lee was just lucky she was so likable, she's been Ai's main feminine influence in life lmaoo).

At school, she's friends with the sports teams and the chess clubs, the smoking pits and skater lots - wherever the highest concentration of guys are, typically. She probably gets a lot of bad things said about her behind her back from the other girls but the truth is, boys brains just make more sense to her 😅 So yeah, she would be inviting Jude to the hang outs and meet ups just as often as she'd be inviting Miranda - they're a package deal to her - and when Scott eventually joins the picture, she adores him just as equally 💖

Liz: Don't worry, Cove has been losing out to his own dad for years 😌✨ Cove: Hey...😅 Baxter: And now he must share her with me as well, what a pity. 😏💨 Cove: Guys! 😒 Pam: Careful you two, if you make Cove cry Ai is liable to withhold all cuddles for the rest of the visit!🤭 Cove/Lani: Pam! 😫😂 Baxter: Well, we can't have that. I don't think my heart could take it. Liz: [snickering] You coward. Baxter: 😌 I'm a weak man, I admit.

Look, Ai can't help it if she's a certified Daddy's Girl 😂 Clifford will always come first, even over her husbands! 🤣 /jkjk

Also, ngl, I cannot express to you how much I laughed while drawing this (frustrations about doing a seven person piece aside cough) There's something about the idea of Elizabeth and Baxter interacting that just tickles me in the best of ways 💖the class - the sass - they were just meant to be banter buddies and I love them dearly for it.

Also, forgive the inconsistencies in character design, I fucked up on this piece so many times that at some point I just said 'the hell with it' and started doing my own damn thing LOL - so they have slightly different clothing 🤷‍♂️it all worked out in the end (also, I am so tired of backgrounds oh my god, I could not force myself to do another one so you get a screenshot instead, sorry not sorry lmaoo).

Ngl, sometimes I feel like Cove is just a soundboard for all my strongest impulses 🤣 I love him so dearly and I get a very distinct joy from watching Baxter's struggle to get on his good side.

He's definitely going to have to work harder this time around for that approval rating, though. After Step 3, Baxter's popularity score plummeted into the negatives amongst Ai's family and friends 😂 I'm sure he appreciates that she's still got a positive opinion of him, but I'm also sure he probably thinks her regard is severely misplaced!

What can she do 🤷‍♂️ the girl just loves who she loves, okay?

Anyways, I imagine this moment is not too long after the Step 4 confession. Terry and Miranda may have saved Baxter from a bruised jaw, sure, but certainly not a bruised ego LOL

A/N: If you look closely, you can see that Baxter isn't too impressed with Cove right now either! 🤣

Finally, y'all have the finished piece with Cove in it! (I'm genuinely flabbergasted at the amount of notes that have accumulated on that bloody crooked eyed wip tbh, all of you are insane).

I like to think that unleashing Micha on Derek is much like unleashing Tamarack on Qiu in some respect 😂 luckily, Micha's absolutely cutie patootie little self makes up for quite a lot of his dickish behaviours lmfaooo. Also, he and Cove simply share the same brain, that's just how it is sorry. They looked into each other's eyes on that first meeting and promptly fused their consciousness 🤣

As for Ai, I'm pretty sure that setting her loose on an unsuspecting new town without Cove's influence to buffer her is like a class A felony or something LOL. I feel so sorry for them, they honestly got so lucky with Micha. Ai doesn't have the same reservations - she's such a disaster but that's why I love her 😏 Baxter is 100% going to be out of his depth and I'm honestly loving how much she always makes that poor boy lose his footing. Speaking of 😌✨ the dynamic change is that Tamarack is like her new Lee, aka her ultimate bestie while Qiu is still her other crush, along with Baxter as well ofc.

Quick left turn btw, I've realised that, since I've aged Micha up a year, I've effectively made the two of them twins by accident 🤷‍♂️ not that it's a bad thing! It's a fun new addition to their dynamic and I'll have to write it down somewhere eventually - for now, it's just a cute little thought that I'm sharing with the class 🥰

The 'thing' is, in fact, Cliff Holden's very expensive diving watch. RIP, Mr. shark man. Maybe if you're lucky Ai will give it back 😏

These two pictures also sum up Liz and Lee's dynamics with Ai pretty nicely honestly 😂 she's a little menace and they only tolerate her shenanigans half the time because they usually get cool shit out of it. Was the risk worth it? Perhaps not. The adventure was memorable though, that will always be guaranteed ✨In this case, it was a dangerous escapade into the populated shallows of Sunset Bird to see if there was anything cool to scavenge from the locals 🤭

If you're curious btw - Liz 's design is based off a mix of a sandbar shark and tiger shark, meanwhile Ai was made with ideas of butterfly koi and betta fish in mind. Lee was a bit more ambiguous, but I was kind of just going for a vibe somewhere between angelfish, flying fish and oarfish tbh. It all turned out in the end!

I was meant to be doing something else but got horribly distracted when I stumbled across this old wip and decided to finish it.

ngl, it was really nice to slip back into something a little closer to my own art style again lmaoo, I do love trying to keep pieces in the style of the media they're for, but I think my brain really just needed to sit back and soft shade for a bit 😂it was a much needed change of pace.

Ai came out looking like a little fairy 🥰or maybe a moon bunny, her bow kind of looks like bunny ears and it's hella cute honestly. Either way, I can definitely see why Cove would think she was sent there just for him 😂she looks very out of this world 💖
