I really like how they I corporated Lestat/Sam Reid into season 2

Lestat is a great character and Sam is an amazing actor, you could not NOT bring him back. Yes, he appeared for real in the last two episodes, but still

Dreamstat is such a clever solution

Normally I don't like a character seeing hallucinations of their loved ones. It's overdone, distastefully so and can often be ableist

But Louis HAS a family history of mental illness, specifically a hallucination related one!

And even if you don't subscribe to the "Louis sees hallucinations due to mental illness" angle, there's the vampire bond

But yeah, I 100% "headcanon" that Louis does have schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder
