Inuyasha Pride Month 2023

We're back! And this year, we're changing things up. We have 4 weeks, 4 themes, and a host of ways you can view the Inuyasha universe through a queer lens. Why Violet Week?

This year, we decided to rehash the old IYPM prompts and split each theme into weeks. Our color prompts, based on the original Pride Flag, had 8 colors to 7 days, leaving Violet to spill over into our final week. Violet, the last color on the pride flag, represents Spirit – the core, heart and soul of the LGBTQ+ community. It has many names: Violet, Spirit, Free Week. Whichever you choose to call it, the notion is the same, regardless of its label. From the 22nd-30th of June, Violet Week is all about the freedom of choice being yours.

It's "Asexual Day" in @inuyashapridemonth but I felt like including aromantic and aroace in this as well (bc romantic identities are just as valid as sexual ones).

I can't draw well enough to contribute fanart so I hope some cheap photo manip is okay ^^'

Sesshōmaru is the most obvious character in IY to interpret as ace, aro or aroace. My teenage self who didn't know they were ace yet fell for him right away because of that (and bc of his androgynous/GNC looks) and started unconsciously writing an asexual romance.
