In honor of Izuku’s Birthday, what do you all think everyone at U.A will give Izuku for his birthday?

Sato: Easy. Man is responsible for making the most extravagant, three layered cake for Izuku with everyone on it and Izuku himself at the top for the occasion.

Uraraka: Ticket to Hawaii that she was able to afford after working hard enough with her job as a pro and counciler

Iida: A brand new car, state of the art, including self drive mode if Midoriya is very exhausted and an extremely sturdy exterior for protection.

Todoroki: A small bronze statue of Izuku that Will placed in front of his office (much to Izuku’s grateful exasperation. Exasperation that Todoroki pointedly ignored)

Asui: A collection of plants to help Izuku decorate his home with that were very easy to manage. And many of their scents had medical benefits and calming effects.

Aoyama: A half dozen of the most expensive and finest wines for Izuku to simply help him unwind.

Yaoyorozu: a series of new notebooks because she understood and remembered how Midoriya always seemed to fill every page in his old notebooks on quirks, so she set him up with some new ones. (Of course, given she’s rich, she went and purchased a thousand that all are stored in a warehouse)

Shoji: A few memory books with crafts that Midoriya can add to fill with multiple memories. Being a minimalist, he always thinks time with others are the best treasures.

Bakugou: Didn’tbothercomingupwithsomethingforhimNext

Tokoyami: A sword the exact replica of his in his dorm room for Midoriya to hang on his wall

Kaminari: A plasma ball made from his quirk that he was able to make green electricity from the crystal inside.

Hagakure: A portrait of Midoriya she made by hand (I headcannon she is quite the artist)

Koda: An aquarium with a turtle in it that has a self maintenance machine to clean the tank up. Izuku is currently considering a name for her.

Jiro: Special V.I.P tickets to her next big hit as well as sneak peek to rehearsals, letting him give ideas if anything comes to mind for him.

Ojiro: Security cameras set up around his property to help keep him safe on his dime (yen).

Kirishima: For some reason, I see Kirishima to always give more simple, personal gifts. So he made friendship bracelets with personal symbols involving everyone.

Sero: I see him always for more lighthearted gifts, so I see him being able to pull strings to help create a bobblehead and a few other funny toy ideas involving Midoriya (Funko Pop or equivalent of it)

Ashido: Yearbook and memorabilia of her with Midoriya and everyone else, as well as getting him to be the other lead in her next music video, including choreography.

Mineta: A personalized (and actually clean…mostly) manga series he made involving Midoriya as the lead

Big Three: A giant photo collage blanket

All Might: A new brand of clothes that all have to do with the various hero outfits he has worn over the years, one set where he wears proudly

Eri: A new song and a colored drawing of her and Izuku

Trios that would have been more compelling and less obnoxious than the "Wonder Trio":

Izuku, Tenya, Ochako: This needs no explanation

Izuku, Tenya, Shouto: Again, this really needs no champion vouching for it. The Stain arc and the subsequent character work that came with it will never be matched by any other arc in MHA.

Izuku, Denki, Yuga: These three all have self-harming quirks that can be really dangerous and inconvenient during a battle. It was truly a lost opportunity to see these three bond over their issues. Making Izuku and Yuga being close friends right off the bat would've have been really beneficial in sowing the traitor plot point early on and would've have also been far more devastating for Izuku during the reveal. And honestly, Yuga being formerly quirkless and having a self-harming quirk is a much better narrative parallel than the "Save to Win and Win to Save" bullshit that we got. Denki and Yuga just seem like they'd have really good chemistry.

Izuku, Tenya, Momo: These 3 intelligent specimens would've have been extremely overpowered if Hori actually cared enough to develop them. Also, Momo would get to shine because her quirk is powerful as hell (I actually head canon that she has the strongest/most versatile quirk in 1A and maybe enough the BNHA verse as a whole) and it's a crime that her intelligence and OP quirk went underutilized. Also, Momo and Izuku helping each other through their lack of self confidence would have been really touching and maybe have Izuku reflect on his life and how he was treated pre OFA. Momo and Tenya also seemed really no nonsense in the beginning when she ruthlessly criticized Bakugou, so this could help Izuku cut Bakugou off much earlier and allow him to grow.

Izuku, Tsuyu, Mineta: Yes I know, I know. Mineta sucks. But even so, these three were super compelling and interesting to watch during the USJ arc. The ways in which they used their quirks to escape death has way more charm and personality in their hair follicles than post season 3 ShoBakuDeku have in their entire bodies. Also, since Tsuyu was one of the first to call Bakugou out, I feel like her bluntness would be a really good reality check for Izuku to realize that the way Bakugou (and Aizawa) treat him is not okay. Also, Mineta already idolizes Izuku (which is actually sort of sweet) so this could have been used to develop his character rather than the awful and repetitive perv shtick that we're unfortunately stuck with.

Izuku, Shoji, Tokoyami: Like with the above trio, their forest camp sequence in trying to escape dark shadow has more personality and authenticity in their hair follicles than anything having to do with the stupid wonder trio. After all, the whole thing started because of Tokoyami witnessing Shoji being harmed by moonfish, which feels really raw and touching. Shoji also carrying Izuku on his back is super cute. These three also could've been used to address quirk-based discrimination, which is basically that backbone of BNHA's premise (even if it is always glossed over). Tokoyami and Shoji would've had to be victims of heteromorph discrimination (I think it was even confirmed in later chapters) which could drawn the three to each other. No offense to Shouto (and full offense of Bakugo) the two of them could never really relate to Izuku's trauma especially since Bakugou is responsible for 85% of it. They're both rich, they were both born with extremely powerful quirks. While Shouto is tragic because he was abused, he also benefits from the system of powerful quirks being favored which makes the two of them privileged. I also feel like Shoji and Tokoyami finding out about OFA and Izuku's previous quirklessness would just strengthen their bond and would motivate them to help and protect Izuku in any way they can unlike Bakugou who was a total nuisance the entire time.

Izuku, Mei, Ochako: Again, like with the last two, their admittedly limited time on screen together has more charm and personality than the stupid Wonder Trio.

These are the ones that I could think of from the top of my head. Feel free to add anymore.

These are all so cool! I especially liked Izuku, Denki, and Yuga. I always thought Izuku and Denki should have had more interactions anyway. And of course I love Izuku's scenes with Yuga. This is definitely a more unique one.

I would add Izuku, Momo, and Shoto to the list because I love the thought of Izuku being super intimidated by them only to be like, "Oh, oh no they're just isolated rich kids who have never talked to another kid their age and they're mine now" and adopts them.

Also, Izuku, Fumikage, and Shoto. I feel like they're fun.

It's not an Izuku trio but I'd also love Ochako, Tsu, and Momo just because they're best girls

"I'm sorry for everything I've done until now."

For a moment, there was nothing. Nothing but the pitter patter of rain striking the ground, coating his weary body, exhausted beyond belief.

Then.

"No."

Izuku watched as Kacchan's head shot up, his eyes wide with disbelief, as if this was shocking. There were no tears left for him to cry, so he settled for taking steps back.

"Y-You don't get to say that...!" he screamed, hands clutching the sides of his head. "For years, a decade, I-I put up with everything! I just watched as e-everyone kissed your feet, as if you've changed at all!"

"De- Izuku-"

"Shut up!" This wasn't fair, it wasn't! Nothing about it! Why!? "You don't get to call me that!"

Why can't anything ever go right!? For so long, he lied to everyone and to himself, pretending he was fine with Kacchan just getting everything he ever wanted. People loved him, despite his violence, despite that damn name, despite being his bully.

Iida reached out, "M-Midoriya-kun..."

He cast a forlone look towards his friend. At least he tried to talk to him more than fight or capture him. At least someone was trying to reach out to him. But then, why did he agree to let everyone come? Why did nobody think that maybe this would be a bad idea?

Why was nobody mad at Kacchan for hurting him...?

...

Oh.

"You didn't tell them, did you?" The realisation struck, and it struck hard. Kacchan- no, Bakugou's eyes widened. Confusion swept across the rest of 1-A, and Izuku knew he was right. "Go on. Tell them. Tell them what you did to me. Why you're apologising. Tell them." Silence. "Tell them!"

He marched forth, anger keeping him from collapsing.

"Tell them how you beat me black and blue! Tell them how you burnt me for the crime of existing! Tell them your advice! What was it: 'go take a swan dive off a roof and pray for a quirk in your next life'? Tell them!"

"You said what." The temperature clashed. Izuku glanced back, and there Todoroki was, cold steam billowing off one side, smoke from the other.

"No way..." Uraraka gasped, fists clenching. "You... You bastard...!" She threw herself at Bakugou, her fist colliding with his cheek. He fell to the floor, holding his reddening cheek, staring at her with wide eyes, as if it was out-of-nowhere.

Izuku looked down, teeth worrying into his bottom lip.

"Midoriya-kun." A hand clasped around his wrist, and he nearly threw the person over his shoulder. But that was Iida's voice. "... I understand that you wish to not return to U.A. Would you like to eat?"

Abruptly, he was reminded of how he rejected Toshinori. How, when his mentor reached out, he kicked off, running without a single explanation.

"..." This wasn't helping. He's just going to be too exhausted to fight back. "Y-Yeah..."

"Everyone," Iida faced the others, tired though he didn't fight much, if at all. "Please return to U.A. We shall look after Midoriya-kun."

Kaminari bristled, "B-But-!"

"Kaminari-kun." Yaoyorozu held her hand up, arm stretched in front of Kaminari. He paused, then stepped back, head low. She turned to them with a smile, "Of course, Iida-kun. Take care of him for us."

"We will," affirmed Uraraka, as she and Shouto walked to his side.

Safe. Surrounded by three of his friends, he felt safe.

It was enough for him to fall, and it was fine.

His friends were there to catch him.

The Bakusquad really is just Kirishima and Kaminari taking in Bakugou with Sero, Ashido and occasionally Jiro tagging along.

Meanwhile, the Dekusquad really is just Midoriya collecting friends through the power of friendship, yelling and throwing hands.

Bnha Class 1A friendship headcanons:

- When doing high-five everyone moves their pinky back or to one side so it doesn't touch the second persons hand. Why? Because of Uraraka. It started with Ochako, then everyone got used to it and just do it everytime. (The teachers thought it was a gang thing for a few days, then they got the right idea)

- When they say "Stop!" they sometimes do the Iida chop-chop hand thingy

The first time Deku did that no one really noticed

The time Uraraka did that, she noticed herself but didn't say anything, she didn't want to look weird, y'know, copying your bestfriends moves--

Todoroki did it once. It wasn't even a shout or anything he was just like "Stop." And his hand just moved. Of course Mina always pay attention to him so she catched that with the corner of her eye. When she pointed it out everyone started noticing that they do that sometimes too. Iida wasn't around when the conversation happend, they didn't told him

- When its winter Shoji always carry a blanket in his backpack in case Tsuyu would be too cold, he never forgets it. Momo and Koda do the same thing.
